Mechanical Slaughter is permitted by a minority of Deobandi Ulama. However I don't see how E120 is haram in one place and allowed elsewhere? The only logical explanation is that E120 maybe a code for various colouring methods! As far as we know so far, E120 is derived from animal blood.
What is E120?
[quote]Carminic acid (C22H20O13) is a red glucosidal hydroxyanthrapurin that occurs naturally in some scale insects, such as the cochineal, Armenian cochineal, and Polish cochineal. The insects produce the acid as a deterrent to predators. Carminic acid is the colouring agent in carmine. Synonyms are C.I. 75470 and C.I. Natural Red 4.
The chemical structure of carminic acid consists of a core anthraquinone structure linked to a glucose sugar unit. Carminic acid was first synthesized by organic chemists in 1991.
Yes I am talking about this ^ colouring agent..
IFANCA has different standards, for america it allows mechanical slaughtering and Carminic acid and in Pakistan it doesn't because it works with the Pakistani halal standards here..
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
