Just to clarify (brother Black Turban) I did discuss this thread on the Authorizer section and warned as soon as I saw the second reply and what was being posted. I asked other authorizers to keep an eye on the thread as it did come across as a fitnah in the making.

So inshaAllah, rest assured, we were alert and on it from the beginning.

Oh yeah, a side note for you guys...search can plants feel pain? in your computer's search engine and see what scientific studies have shown. Based on the principle of not eating meat because of the animal feeling pain, will it be okay to discard that principle with plants even though they feel pain, too? Although animals have faces, eyes and mouth (and other things we can relate to) and plants don't, in the end pain is pain. So how do those who choose not to eat meat balance out that principle?

But put science aside, it's mentioned in the Qur'an that Allah Ta'ala has subjugated the creation for the human being and the sublime Sunnah of Rasulullah (saw)

has made it clear how to slaughter an animal in order to eat its meat in the most humane and merciful way.

That should wrap it up for a Muslim...
