Kindness for whom? My blood was up while reading his trashy opinions. Aapa, can you imagine the gravity of his comments? Allaah S.W.T made wajib to sacrifice animals, Rasulullaah (saw) himself slaughtered animals and this nonsense was saying that it was violation of mercy to kill animals etc etc. He was lucky because I didn't notice this thread when he posted.

To show anger isn't violation of Shari'ah when it's only done for Allaah's sake. There are plenty of examples in Sahabah's life.

I think he was talking about the current 'methods' which do not follow the sunnah method of treating animals that is to be slaughtered.

Please maintain respect for each other and Ulamaa (if topic is about a scholar) by avoiding accusations and slanderous comments. Also remember that in order for criticism to be constructive, it must be channeled in the right direction. If there is any doubt in a matter, it is better to ask, clarify or to remain silent rather than to speak ill of another person.

بسم الله الرحمن اللرحيم

Brother, he is your brother and insha'Allah taking a step back to look at what he says and why he says it, respecting him as a person even if you disagree, will be better - insha'Allah these are doable, no?

For example, brother, many of the animals are kept in horrid conditions, are mistreated, are killed brutally and that's only half the story. The other half is what we've done to Allah Ta'aala's creation and blessing for us in our greed to eat more - we've genetically modified so many things (not just animals but also plants). What we eat is not what our beloved Rasulullah (s.a.w.) ate - some are altered beyond recognition. How we treat animals is not the way our beloved Rasulullah (s.a.w.) treated animals. How we (humans in general) slaughter animals - Allah Ta'aala's blessings on us - is not the way Rasulullah (s.a.w.) slaughtered animals.

And... the amount of food that we throw out. We put these animals through all sorts of torture - only to bury them in land-fills (garbage).

Okay, let's skim through his points:

Quote:
1) With all the tricks and games going on today with the food... I don't believe there is such a thing as hallal meat unless I personally kill it. And I would have to have a good reason to do that. (ie: Life or death in a starvation situation)
Here^ he said one reason which seemed to be a matter of Taqwa. But in the parenthesis he stated his real belief.

Quote:
2) Animals raised for food today spend most of their lives in conditions that are beyond horrific. As a muslim I'm supposed to stand against oppression. (If you see something wrong, try to change it with your hand. If you cannot, speak out against it. And if you cannot, then at the very least feel that in your heart and this is the weakest level of Iman )

Here^ is another reason which has nothing to do with avoiding meat consumption.
3) The very first convesation Allahسبحانه وتعالى has with Adam(pbuh) is Genesis 1:29 (Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.) There's no mention of eating animals

4)

Sura 24:41 All creatures praise Allahسبحانه وتعالى in their own way.
Sura 6:38 All creatures form communities like us
Sura 25:48-49, 32:27, 79:31-33 That in Allah'sسبحانه وتعالى point of view animals are equal to humans and that HE talks with them just like HE does with us.

Also the Qur'an applies the world "Muslim" not only to humans but also to other animals and the inanimate world. Now if someone wanted to consider that in the gospel of Matthew 25:40 (Saint Jerusalem bible)... The prophet Jesus(pbuh) said, "truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me" Since all creatures worship Allahسبحانه وتعالى and submit to them.. It's easy to see that on some level, we're all brothers and sisters. As such killing and eating an animal purely for the pleasure of the taste is wrong.

5) It takes 7kgs of grains to make 1kg of meat. Without good reason to eat meat, this is a waste and tQur'an, 7:31 makes it very clear that Allahسبحانه وتعالى hates wasters ("eat and drink and be not extravagant; surely He does not love the extravagant")

6) Sura 6:141, 6:151, 16:67 and Sura 23:19 - Allahسبحانه وتعالى puts emphasis on eating fruits and veggies in order to be healthy

7) Abu Umama - He who takes pity
even
on a sparrow and spares its life, Allah will be merciful on him on the Day of Judgement

8) The Prophet(pbuh) said "Allahسبحانه وتعالى will not give mercy to anyone, except those who give mercy to other creatures."

9) An-Nasai, 7:206,239 There is no man who kills
even
a sparrow or anything smaller, without its deserving it, but God will question him about it."

10) The killing of animals without a justifiable reason is a major sin, "Avoid the seven obnoxious things
deadly sins
: polytheism; magic; the killing of breathing beings! Which God has forbidden except for rightful reason." (Sahih Muslim: Kitab-ul-Imam (Ref. No. 46); Chapter. XXXIX, Vol.I; p. 52. Bukhari, 4:23.

Here^ started his real mission- creating a hotchpotch of Quran, Hadith and bible to prove his deceptive conclusion.

@ brother Jameel Bonjour: There indeed are all sorts of tricks and games going on with food now that were not there at the time of Rasulullah (s.a.w.). Is it any wonder people would rather leave certain things they feel are harmful to them heart, body, and soul.

May Allah Ta'aala grant you ease in your quest for halal, organic cheese brother Jameel. And, may Allah Ta'aala accept your efforts and steadfastness. Ameen.

alhamdolillah. i am glad others also saw through this charlatan. he didnt come here to enquire about halal cheese. he came here to spread his beliefs which he has derived from all sorts of books and religions. for a person who didnt want to debate, he sure had a nicely laid out mini article and references to hand.

the following in itself says a great deal about this person. he has derived his own shariah and the implication here is that he understands the will of allah better than the prophet (saw) himself who obviously ate meat.

Yea it seems dodgy, but he could very well be a new convert. Wasn't there a convert in sf who refused to quit reading the bible. Some new muslims do not realize the depth of this mistake.

Wallahu alam.

Guys, let it be. The rest of us know where we stand. Let's not pass on our small rewards to others in the wrong way.

Obviously we don't follow any other sharia after the final revelation as this nullified all previous ones.

Otherwise, we'd be marrying our blood sisters had we stuck to Hadhrat Adam's (as) time and so on.
