Desi tadka,

It's an indirect way of asking for proof. Like saying, "So cook something and take some pics!"

I have no opinion on your post, as I'm totally unaware of men's cooking skills, just encouraging brothers to experiment with cooking and share with us on here, not digressing.

Feel free to share your cooking skills on this thread.

AAWW,

Made yesterday evening. my son, Yusuf aged 4, (and mines..we made 1 each) first ever attempt making pizza at home..actually skipped the main part of making our own base.. (which is the main part of pizza making!)..used pre-made bases instead ...hey, we're both novices so entitled to get some help!. used Fri nights chicken from leftover dinner...and some leftover salami from last weeks school/work lunches.

All photo's on this dropbox ink (pls let me know if you cant access and ill upload em inshallah)

Love this cooking tip, too good not to share on here, very cool and clean way to separate an egg yolk, not just one egg yolk, but five.

Brother Jinn, I was remembering you yesterday. I boiled some vegetables for my afternoon meal and I completely forgot about them and only remembered them when arriving at the masjid for Isha. I still ate them.

During last Ijtima we, 3 guys, cooked biryani (approx. 40 kg rice + 30 kg beef). Peeling, chopping, grinding of relevant ingredients were done by others (all were men).

I've burnt loads of food :D

But once that happens you can't eat it, I think it's not allowed or forbidden ? (Something along them lines)

Still this day I haven't figured out how to make rice as whenever I try I usually end up ruining it despite trying various techniques.

I've ruined plenty of curry as well by experimenting with to much chillies/tomatoes etc, broke my mothers pressure cooker once as well, she weren't very happy at all :D

So year I guess it's safe to say I have my fair share of experiences in the kitchen
