Was one of your questions "Is it suitable for Human consumption?" Because if it isn't, then what in the world is it.

Good one.

Amazing how much a kitten's nature resembles that of a child. I find it a lot of work with kids in the house but remind myself it's rewarding. Plus, haven't seen a single mouse since day one (not the best intention to get a kitten).

What is your take on ridiculous costs of money makers? People who want to make quick cash on kittens. 8 weeks old and their out. Pulled away from mother.

My friend had 3 kittens and he gave them away to those who actually wanted one. Didn't try to get rich of them.

I've seen prices like £80, £250 and in one case, £800. I mean EIGHT HUNDRED POUNDS!!!! Does the cat poop gold or something

Sad case, I dont like things like getting rid of kittens for cash.

£800, If it was a chicken, then maybe it would lay gold eggs for that price.

@ Maulan Yasin, any reply from the email?

I was just wondering what that question was.

I have a feeling that its all money making schemes although if the intention is true, then its a good thing.

Can you imagine the conversation in a super market.

"Hey, look at that woman in the viel"

"Yeh I know they're all over the place, the religion is spreading faster than any other"

"Yeh Tell me about, even her cats a Muslim"

Nope, no reply.

Email sent on 16/2/2012 to info@halalpetproducts.co.uk (email taken from their web site)

Quote:
To whom it may concern:

We would like to know whether the owners and all workers at your company are Muslim?

Secondly, why are your products advertised as 100% Halaal when all the classic scholars in the UK are unanimous that HFA certified meat is very doubtful due to its passing criteria and there may be very strong fears of consuming Haraam?

Regards
No reply hence the conclusion is simple. You may try to contact them too. I can't remember the purpose of question one but there was a reason for this.

Here's a quote from another site who looked into all this (not read it fully but...)
As far as my investigations indicate, the HFA may as well change its acronym from HFA to DFA, the Doubtful Food Authority.

I cant understand why people say 100% Halal.

Whats the point, there isnt something called 80% Halal and 20% Haram is there.

Oh, unless there is doubt, and your HFA approved, and as rizmalek likes to put it; Haram Food Authority. Although harsh, I think DFA is good.

I can't believe all these people will be feeding their cats 50%Halal food.

Anyway, I hope HMC dont get involved, they have a rep with human food that is as others would say 100% Halal. lol.

Exactly. "Well it's sort of Halaal" - how can it be sort of Halaal?

A Jew at customs at the checkout in Jerusalem said to me he was "Jewish Muslim" (maybe he was just being friendly while they occupy palestine) - 'Sort of Halaal' right?

I have the same written to what you said on our "100% Halaal" video sharing service (in the right column)

Quote:
This video sharing service follows a strict 100% Halaal policy. 95% Halaal is not really Halaal. Those videos can fall under Makrooh or even Haraam depending on the contents of the videos. This service brings you 100% Halaal videos in accordance to the Islamic rulings. Details on criteria available on submit video page.

Asslamo Allaikum Maulana,

Its my limited understanding that...

It is HARAM to derive any benefit from HARAM and then the issue takes two forms:

 1. Dog feeds itself...
 2. Bringing the feed to the dog...

Case 1 is permissable because you are not actively participating in the matter but its upto the dog.

Case 2 is not permissable because you are actively deriving benefit from HARAM.

What do you think?

So you agree with me on the first fatwa and not so much on the second fatwa.

Purchase of Haram is not allowed, but if the pets eat what they find, then there's no problem.

Asslamo Allaikum,

Look at it this way and forget about the pet issue for a second. Is it HALAL or HARAM for someone to sell a McDonalds Big Mac?

Feeding it to pet is a secondary issue at the first instance a Muslim is deriving benefit from someone which Allah (SWT) has prohibited. The Fatwa from Shaykh Uthaymeen (RA) over-shoots the mark slightly because in the West we have to go to ASDA and buy these things.

The question to ask Shaykh Uthaymeen (RA) is:

 1. Is it permissable for me to sell McDonalds Big Mac?
 2. Is it permissable for me to buy McDonalds Big Mac for my dog?

If 1 is imperssiable then how does 2 becomes permissable and where is your evidence?

In my humble view what they are trying to say if the dog/cat comes across this dead-meat and there is no problem with the issue.

Jazakullah Khairun

Buying/Selling HARAM meat is no different to Buying/Selling any other Haram.

Agreed, with or without the pet food. The answer is an allrounder.

The Hadith posted earlier is quite clear too
