lol some of you people are like those that go to manchester to eat and walk up and down wilmslow road.

when they come home they start the tut tutting and say did you see how all those boys and girls were dressed and how they were acting???

no one told you to go to wilmslow road! no one told you to eat in a restaraunt! stay at home and eat food in your homes!!!!

and these same people wonder why their own kids grow up to be like the boys and girls on wilmslow road. its cos YOU introduced them to it by taking them to such places yourself!!!

you funny people. you put yourselves in haram situations to satisfy your own nafs and then you complain.

Dear respected "naqabi" you have made some very good posts in recent threads, Alhumdulillah and I think it would be very beneficial if you signed up and posted as a real user and not as a guest. You will also have the advantage of posting in other threads in which you currently can't post in. You will have your own identity and we could relate to a person rather than a wannabe who posts behind the veil so they can't be pin pointed if they ever make a very positive point or even if they contradict themselves.

Jazakallahu khair.

it seems like my post completely went over your head, so i will not even bother replying to you and your labeling of me to be a secular muslim.

mashallah thats really good sister.

i am also 100% british. although i did not live a very islamic life myself as i was growing up, i try to make sure my children live as close to an islamic life as possible in the UK.

my children and family have NEVER eaten in a restaurant so i have never had the need to complain about unislamic activities in restaurants. in any case, my children would NEVER even step foot in a place where they play music. music actually troubles them and they cover up their ears. all my kids are below 12 years of age.

also, i have NEVER had a television in my home so alhamdolillah my children have stayed somewhat immune to the kufr broadcasted on the TV.

the point i am trying to make is people are criticising the restaurants for being unislamic, but they are also unislamic for going there in the first place!

in my teens i used to frequent wilmslow road and there you will see MANY brothers with sunnah and beard and MANY sisters wearing full purdah with niqab. these same people will then go home and talk about the fitnah of wilmslow road. who told them to go there in the first place! by going there they were also part of the fitnah!

lol Fitnah in cinema. That's a new one

My take on this topic. I think everyone is saying almost the same things but not understanding each others point. I say HMC eat, unIslamic leave. And to the above guest, you are fulfilling the rights of parenthood so good on you and may all parents care about their children the way you have described above. I actually feel happy for your children

Lets be 100% Muslim, that goes for the food joints too. Nationality has nothing to do with this topic.

The topic was a moan for something being halal (and certified by the best) but the means of getting to it and participating in it are not. Defeats the object to a certain extent.

Brotha I can moan lol
A restaurant or any other dining place for that matter if music or exploiting women in any way like the kuffar do
A MUSLIM to enter a place like that would be unfaithful to ISLAM cz its clearly stated not to listen to music or to look at the opposite sex.

Then the question arises again, should the restaurant be called halal since only the meat is halal and nothing else.

@Naqabi, Jazakallahu khair for signing up. Now at least we know we would be talking to.the one and only Naqabi and not any guest who posts anonymously using different names.

You also have the benefit of using the PM (private message) as well as the ability to join a particular thread and posting there too.

Welcome and salaam to you.

Yes, I have been to a popular HMC restaurant in London and I looked at one of the condiment bottles and it had e120 listed on the ingredients. As far as I know they only certify the meat. And the raw meat is only one part of what is in a restaurant meal. So does being HMC certified guarantee a restaurant is halal -- Not at all. It just shows their raw meat is passable. People should be very diligent about what else goes into the meal.
