Check this scene:

We went to a HMC place and ordered pizzas to go. We waited ages for the pizza, which is actually a Chinese restaurant.

After waiting so long, motor bike pulls up with a delivery bag and delivers the pizza to the restaurant.

I wasn't thinking at the time, but when we got home, we realized what had happened. Now the question is, the restaurant was HMC certified but where in the world did that pizza come from.

Next time I'm gonna investigate this issue because it can be very misleading.

What a strange letter to have in a name for a restaurant.

It got me thinking for a while and I honestly did not know so I waited for other family members to confirm.

Yep, it has a V in the second word and a U in the first. 3 strange letters, the third being Z. Strange combo.

Are they ok?

Please do let me know as I want to get in touch with HMC and explain. I've contacted them before with complaints and Alhumdulillah they do respond well (not directly but we see the results)

I would like to say Nandos is also halaal I know it's not hmc but the people who provides chicken for them are guys from Gloucester n are from rander (India) we personally know them

Which Nando's though. There's so many. Their curries/sauces have alcohol in it though. It's not just about the meat.

Can anyone confirm the alcohol?

Remembered this old post due to a recent incident....

How comes any questioning of any kind (long as its polite and not agenda driven) towards a Gujarati shop is taken as highly offensive where as the exact same level of questioning to say a Bangla, Pak, Turkish etc owned shop isnt ? Sometime i cant help but feel a sense of Gujrati privilege on a number of issues i.e just like the coined phrase 'white privilege'
