Under the banner of "Halal Whiskey," influential and official accounts have started promoting what they describe as non-alcoholic spiritual beverages. These campaigns, appear to be a way of normalizing the public to this phenomenon!
Saudi Arabia has taken further steps to relax rules around the sale of alcohol by allowing non-Muslim foreign residents earning more than 50,000 riyals ($13,300).
Residents must prove their income by showing a salary certificate to gain entry to the country’s only liquor outlet.
In 1980s I heard from a scholar that there are under currents in Saudia. One young man was pointing towards Ka'aba and he was shouting, "this has hindered our progress". 45 years have passed now. Experts can share their valuable analysis, if MBS would not have yielded to the locals demand for freedom in society, today he would have faced the similar situation like in Iran.
Saudia was boasting about their Tauheed and ibadath, but there was erosion of muamilaath, maashirath and Akhlaq.
I quote Ali Mian Nadvi RA,
Irtidad starts with Akhlaq (Moral character),
next, Irtidad of Muashirath (Social etiquette),
next irtidad of Muamilath (Public dealings),
Next irtidad from ibaadaath....
finally irtidad from Imaan/Aqaid.
When there is mass irtidad of values among youth (GenZ), no government can control that.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
