Bubble Tea seems to be popular in Malls, a lot of Muslim youth like to stand around in the queues impressing each other with their choice of tea.

Complete waste of time and money. So those who like this rubbish, just be careful because you never know which of your tea cups is actually haram!

Although this article is aimed at Malaysians, you never know what's in the bubble tea being served to you

Brand of Brown Sugar Tea Ball Not Halal, Public Warned

After investigating a complaint about a brand of Brown Sugar Tea Ball being sold in shops of containing non-Halal ingredients, Jakim has now confirmed that the items is not-Halal.

The Bubble Tea which is from Taiwan in fact contains pork gelatin which is not consumable by Muslims. Its currently brought into the country by a Singaporean conglomerate who also distribute various other food brands including Japanese isotonic drink Pocari Sweat. Meng Chong Foodstuff Pte.Ltd supplies the chewy bubble tea in solid form, where the product hit shelves in Singapore with much fanfare. The trend is extremely popular in Taiwan for those who do not wish to stand in long queues for a bubble tea drink and opt to chew on these little chocolate filled balls.

Brown Sugar Bubble Tea is available on local ecommerce platform like Shopee and promoted as childrens favourite, there is also no warnings about non-halal ingredients on the description.

Malaysian especially of Muslim beliefs, are advised to read labels before purchasing edible items both locally and when overseas.

When enough scholars in future say halal maybe many here will say halal too. Like food with alcohol in it. Or videos.

Go with majority they say.

Moonsighting another example. Majority around me say follow saudi, so must be right, eh? All these Allah wala mashaykh ikram cant be wrong can they?

Nice bubble to live in.

Just go with majority even if majority heads for jahannum.

Good thing is Allah start azaab in this dunya for each fool who contribute to change deen for sake of his own nafs. For each person misguided, a share of azaab goes to the one who contributed to misguiding.

Its like those pyramid scheme. More people misguided by you who are misguiding others who are misguiding others... more you suffer.

Allah give everyone what they deserve.

Alhumdulillah.

This post has been reported. It could be due to breaking rules or something as simple as bad use of bbcodes which breaks the page format. We will attend to this soon.

Please maintain respect for each other and Ulamaa (if topic is about a scholar) by avoiding accusations and slanderous comments. Also remember that in order for criticism to be constructive, it must be channeled in the right direction. If there is any doubt in a matter, it is better to ask, clarify or to remain silent rather than to speak ill of another person.

This thread is about PORK in an overpriced, fashionable cup of tea where people can showoff on Snapchat and Instagram, all for their Dopamine effect!

Bubble tea will always be Haraam. It doesn't matter how many "Allah wala mashaikh" do Haraam, it'll always stay Haraam.

Abu Shaamah al-Maqdisi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: When there is a command to adhere to the jamaa‘ah (the main body of the Muslims), what is meant is adhering to the truth and following it, even if those who adhere to the truth are few and those who go against it are many, because the truth is that which is followed by the early group, the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), and no attention should be paid to the large numbers of those who followed falsehood after their time.

Some scholars do say that gelatine undergoes change from its original state so that it is no longer prohibited.

Those scholars and scientists who have concluded that gelatine undergoes complete change, it doesn't matter what the original source was does it?
