Asalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakhaatu(May the peace,blessings and mercy of Allah Ta'ala be upon you). Allah,the Mighty and Sublime has revealed th nature of men in the Qur'an,in surah Imran chapter no.3,verse no.14 when he says:" zuy-yina lin-naasi Hub-bush shahawaati minan nisaai wal baniyna wal qanaaTiyril muqanTarati minadh dhahabi wal fiD-da." Which means:"Fair in the eyes of men is the love of things they covet: Women and sons; Heaped-up hoards of gold and silver; horses branded (for blood and excellence); and (wealth of) cattle and well-tilled land." So Allah is telling us that the first thing men desire more than anything else in the world is women. So what can a man do when he goes out, i'll tell you what he can do, he can show some modesty in him and lower his gaze.But many people find it hard to do this. And this is one of the things that weekens faith. One of the most important principles one should know about faith is that at times it increases and at other times it decreases. The prophet (s.a.w) said:"Faith wears out in the heart of any one of just as clothes wear out, so ask Allah to renew the faith in your hearts."
(Reported by al-Haakim in al-Mustadrak)What he meant by this that sometimes the heart of a mu'min is over-welled by dark clouds of sins, so his heart goes dark. So whem one looks at lusful glances, is Imaan weekens and his heart becomes dark like when the moon is covered by clouds...
