Now its clear that the hidaya comes when you follow those who were favoured by Allah swt. We try to follow them and alhamdulillah we are following. This following is basically taqleed.

We know if someone does not accept one ayat of quran then they are not even muslim. If a person says taqleed is shirk then definitely he or she is denying this ayat of surah fatiha. What is the result now? You find out the fatwah.

May Allah swt give us tawfeeq to respect each other. And as brother yasin said we should learn the meaning of the shirk first. Besides that we hanafi or other madhabi people should have sufficient knowledge in deen too.

The Necessity of Taqleed
There are two types of wujoob
1) Wujoob biz zaat means compulsory in itself.
2) Wujoob bil ghair means compulsory by virtue of an external factor. It is from here we derived the universal rule.
