7. THAT WHICH NOTHING POLLUTES: WATER, THE EARTH, THE PERSON IN NEED OF GHUSL BECAUSE OF SEXUAL RELATIONS, ETC.
25. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us, 'Al-Haytham ibn Abi'l-Haytham narrated to us that Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه said, thereare four things which nothing pollutes: the body, clothing, water and clean earth"'"
Muhammad said, "The explanation of that according to us is that when something dirty strikes something and one washes it, it departs from it, and so it doesn't carry the filth. With respect to water it only means that when there is a great deal of it or it is flowing, then it doesn't carry impurity."
26. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammaad from Ibrahim that the Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alahyi wa sallam) used to put his head out of the mosque while he was in i'tikaaf seclusion, and that A'isha رضي الله عنه would wash it while she was in her menstrual period
Muhammad said, "We adhere to this and we see no harm in it, and it is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
27. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammaad from Ibrahim that while the Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alahyi wa sallam) was walking, Hudhayfah ibn al-Yamaam رضي الله عنه appeared before him. The Prophet (salallahu 'alahyi wa sallam) made to shake his hand, but Hudhayfah رضي الله عنه held his hand back. The Prophet (salallahu 'alahyi wa sallam) said, 'What is wrong with you?' He answered. 'Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alahyi wa sallam), I am in need of a ghusl because of sexual relations.' He (salallahu 'alahyi wa sallam) said, 'The person who has Iman is not impure'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to the Hadith of the Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alahyi wa sallam). We see no harm in shaking hands with someone in need of a ghusl because of sexual relations, and that is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
28. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammaad that Ibrahim said concerning someone who is sick that he [or she] is unable to perform ghusl after sexual relations or for [the end of the] menstrual period, 'They should do tayammum.'"
Muhammad, "We adhere to this and it is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
Unable here means they can not touch water due to illness.
29. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us saying, 'Hammaad narrated to us from Ibrahim that the sick person who is resident and living with his family, who is not able [to take a ghusl or do wudu] because of small pox or a wound and for whom water is to guarded against, has the satus of the traveller who can not find water, for whom tayammum suffices.'"
Muhammad said, "That is the verdict of Abu Hanifa, to which we adhere."
30. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammaad that Ibrahim said concerning a man taking a ghusl because of sexual relations, 'He should wipe over the splints.'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to that. If he fears the effects of wipping over the splints he will also give that up and it suffices him, and that is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
Lexically, Tayammum means "purpose and intention" and in Shari'ah it means to purpose going to pure earth to wipe the face and hands with the intention of becoming in a state in which it is permissable to do the prayer.
31. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us saying, Hammaad narrated to us that Ibrahim said concerning tayammum, 'You place your palms on clean soil then wipe your face, and then you place them a second time and shake them to remove the dust and wipe your hands and your forearms upto the elbows.'"
Muhammad said,"We adhere to that, and we think also that one should shake the hands to remove dust each time, before wiping the face and the forearms. That is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
32. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammaad that Ibrahim said, 'Whenever a man does tayammum he remains in the condiotion of tayammum as long as he does not find water or do something that voids his tayammum.'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to this and it is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
33. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us, Hammaad narrated to us that Ibrahim said, 'It is preferable to us that when one does tayammum one does it upto the elbows.""
Muhammad said, "We adhere to that; tayammum is not valid until one does it upto the elbows, and that is the verdict of Abu Hanifa رضي الله عنه."
34. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us, 'A man (by the name of Yunus ibn Ubayd al Basri) from Basra narrated to us that al-Hasan al-Basri said, "There is no harm in the urine of any ruminant."'"
Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa used to disapprove of it, and he used to say, 'If it falls in water used for wudu, it invalidates wudu [done with that water], and if a great deal of it falls on clothing in which someone then prays, he must repeat the prayer.'"
Muhammad said, "I see no harm in it, and it does not render water, wudu water or clothing impure."
(Since in Muhammad's opinion, the urine of that whose meat we can eat is pure)
35. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa narrated to us from Hammaad that Ibrahim said concerning a man upon whose clothing a [male] infant's urine falls, 'If he hasn't eaten [solid food] and drunk [something other than his mother's milk], then it suffices if you pour some water.'"
Muhammad said, "The more pleasing of that is that one washes it, and that is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
Respecting the urine of infant boys, words occur in different narrations, such as sprinkling, following it with water, and pouring water on it. Those who looked at the outward apparent meaning of the expressions denoting sprinkling said that one does not need to wash, and did not go very far into investigating their meanings Those who took the other meaning, said that it only needs to be washed lightly and not go into extremes such as rubbing it etc.
36. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us saying, Hammaad narrated to us from Ibrahim concerninga man who urinates standing while he has dirhams [in his hands] on which is writing, meaning some Quran, and disapproved of it and said, "It would be better if they were in a pouch or whose neck is tied."'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to this, and we disapprove of him grasping them in his hand when there is some Quran on them, and that is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
37. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammaad that Ibrahim said concerning a man who urinates standing, 'The Prophet (salallahu 'alahyi wa sallam) went to the rubbish tip of some people with his Companions and he spread his legs wide apart and then urinated standing. One of his Companions said, "So much so that we thought that his spreading his legs wide apart was for fear of the urine."'"
11. CLEANSING THE PRIVATE PARTS AFTER GOING TO THE TOILET
38. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us saying, Hammaad narrated to us from Ibrahim that those who associate partners with Allah at the time of the Messenger of Allah (salallahu 'alahyi wa sallam) met the Muslims and said, "We see that your companion (Meaning the Messenger of Allah, salallahu 'alahyi wa sallam) teaches you how you should go to the toilet," making fun of them. So the Muslims said, "Yes." They [The Mushrikun] asked them [about that] and they [the Companions] said, "He told us not to face the Qiblah with our private parts, not to cleanse our private parts with our right hands, and not to cleanse our private parts with bones or dung, and that we should cleanse oursleves with three stones.""
Muhammad said, "We adhere to this, but washing with water in the act of cleansing the private parts is preferable to us, and that is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
12. WIPING THE FACE AFTER WUDU WITH A HANDKERCHIEF AND TRIMMING THE MOUSTACHE
39. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammaad that Ibrahim said concerning a man who performs wudu and then wipes his face with a cloth, 'There is no harm in it. Then he said, 'What do you think of the case in which he washes on a cold night: should he stand until he is dry?'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to that and we see no harm in it, and it is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
