154. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammad that Ibrahim said, 'I would not be pleased with the prayer of a man when the sun reddens [even if he were to give me] two copper coins.'"
Muhammad said, "Prayer is disliked (makruh) at that time (unless one has missed the Asr prayer of that day, so that one should then pray it at that time). But as for other obligatory and supererogatory prayers one ought not to do them. That is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
155. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifah informed us from Hammad the Ibrahim said, 'When the blood on your body or on your garment is the size of a dirham then you must repeat your prayer [after washing off the blood and repeating wudu], but if it is less than that then you may carry with your prayer.'"
Muhammad said, "It is the same whether it is blood on one's garment or body. If it is more than the size of a large mithqal dirham then repeat the prayer. That is the verdict of Abu Hanifah."
156. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifah informed us saying, 'Asim ibn Abu'n-Najud narrated to us from Abu Razin that Abdullah ibn Masud رضي الله عنه took a louse during the prayer and buried it. Then later he said, 'Did we not make the earth a receptacle for the living and the dead?' (Surat al-Mursalat: 25-26)"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to this. We see no harm in killing a louse and burying it during the prayer. That is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
157. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us that Hammad said, 'I asked Ibrahim about a man who slaughters a sheep while in wudhu and some blood gets on his hand. He said, "He should wash off what has got on to him but he does not need to repeat wudhu."'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to this and it is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
158. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us saying, 'Hammad narrated to us from Ibrahim from Abu Zur'ah ibn Amr ibn Jarir ibn Abullah that Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه said concerning the man who experiences moisture at the end of his penis (urine) while he is in prayer, "He should place his palms on the ground and on the pebbles and then wipe his face and hands [i.e., do tayammum] and then he should pray."' Hammad said, 'So I asked Ibrahim, "So how do you yourself act?" He said, "When I experience that, I repeat the prayer, which is safer and surer for myself."'"
Muhammad said, "As for us, we think he should continue his prayer and not repeat it, nor should he strike the hands on the ground nor wipe his face and hands [in tayammum] unless he is certain that it came out of him after he had done wudu. If he is certain that it has, then let him repeat his wudu. That is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
159. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammad from Sa'id ibn Jubayr that Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه said, 'If you experience anything of moisture then sprinkle it with water. Then later if you experience it, say, "It is from the water."'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to this if it happens a great deal to a person and that is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
47. PROLONGED INTENSE LAUGHTER IN THE PRAYER, AND WHAT IS DISLIKED IN PRAYER
160. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammad that Ibrahim said, 'There is no harm in a man covering his head during prayer as long as he does not cover his mouth, and it is disapproved for him to cover his mouth.'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to this and we also disapprove of him covering his nose, and that is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
161. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammad that Ibrahim said concerning a man who, while praying Asr remembers during the prayer that he hadn't prayed Zuhr, 'This prayer of his is invalid and he must begin with Zuhr then pray Asr.'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to this except in one respect; if he fears that he will miss Asr entirely if he begins again with Zuhr, he must continue with Asr and then pray Zuhr when the sun has set. That is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
162. Muhammad said, Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammad that Ibrahim said of a man praying on a cloudy day and then the sun appeared while some of his prayer remained unfinished and he (found that he) had not been praying towards the Qibla, 'He should turn towards the Qibla, calculate what he has done already and pray what remains of his prayer.'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to this and it is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
163. Muhammed said, "Abu Hanifa informed us saying, 'Mansur ibn Zadhan narrated to us from al-Hasan al-Basri that the Prophet was in prayer, a blind man came from the direction of the Qibla intending to join the prayer while the people were praying Fajr, and the man fell into a pitfall.
Some of the people laughed so much that it became intense and prolonged.
When the Messenger of Allah finished, he said, "Whoever of you laughed intensely and prolongedly should repeat wudu and the prayer."'"
164. Muhammad said, "Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammad that Ibrahim said concerning a man who laughs intensely and prolongedly in prayer, 'He should repeat wudu and the prayer and seek forgiveness of his Lord, because it is the most extreme type of factor that nullifies wudu.'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to this and it is the verdict of Abu Hanifa, may Allah, exalted is He, have mercy on him."
165. Muhammad said, Abu Hanifa informed us from Hammad that Ibrahim said, 'The Messenger of Allah performed wudu and went out to the mosque. He found that the mu'adhdhin had already called the Adhan. He laid himself down and slept so deeply that it could be recognised that he was asleep - and his sleeping could [ordinarily] be recognised [because] he would breath through his when he slept. Then he stood up and prayed without [repeating] wudu.' Ibrahim said, 'The Prophet was not like others.'"
Muhammad said, "We adhere to Ibrahim's verdict. It has reached us that the Prophet said, 'My eyes sleep, but my heart does not sleep.' So the Prophet in this is not like others. As for anyone other than him, if he lays himself down and sleeps, then he has to do wudu, and that is the verdict of Abu Hanifa."
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
