I never said he started the Salafi sect. What I meant to say was. That he seems to be a very controversial person, some have declared him a severe deviant (nothing to do with Salafis). Hence we should avoid presenting him in a positive light. If we don't have all the information about him we can remain quiet instead of praising him.
