Here is an excellent response:
In the book of Allah Ta’ala there are verses which are Mutashabihat (i.e. ambiguous) and there are verses which are Muhkamaat (i.e. clear and precise). We are advised to affirm our belief in Mutashabihat (i.e. ambiguous) verses and stick to Muhkamaat (i.e. clear and precise) verses.

[3:7] It is He who has sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah . But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.
Since we follow the Aqeedah of the Salaf, affirm your belief in all verses of the Qur’aan and move on.
If we need to refute heretical views then we will dip into the Ashari/Maturidi Ta’weel (interpretation) and refute the objections of the enemies of the Sunnah.
Since you are a Muslim of sound judgement and mind (Masha’Allah), you don’t need to worry about this Insha’Allah. For you:
HOW Allah Ta’ala is Mustawi and WHAT does the Arsh look like etc is not your concern.
If someone is definitely bothered then I would take their questions to someone like (Maulana) Yusuf Al-Canadi Makki (HA) who in (my uniformed opinion) is an authority on Maturidi Aqeedah inb our time. Maulana has flown to Pakistan and given lectures and answered question at special invitation...
Maulana (HA) out of his love, let me read his book and it went over my head!!! So I gave up!
I am an absolute and complete ignoramus on Ashari/Maturidi Aqeedah but through interactions also know that many of the Ulama are not much better and they are also clueless...
So for you, drop the issue :P
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
