prr.hec.gov.pk/Thesis/1611.pdf

It was written by shaykh mahmood ahmed ghazi rh who was famous in Pakistan amongst the more intellectual circles though I'm not too sure of his standing amongst the traditional deobandi ulema. I heard he managed to outwit musharaf as he was told to reform the madrasahs of pakistan and he managed to outsmart musharaf on the issue and keep madrasahs on the map in Pakistan. Does anybody know the actual details. Anyway the book is very interesting. The respected shaykh has also written a book on the Sanusi movement. I wonder if somebody has access to it. Enjoy the read inshallah and let us know of any interesting points.

Life Summary and condolence from Ulamah

  1. Father was Shaykh (Dr) Mahmood Ghazi (RA) was connected with Shaykkh (Maulana) Ashraf Ali Thanwi (RA) and remained with him until the end
  2. (Dr) Mahmood Ghazi (RA) was a student of Shaykh (Maulana) Yusuf Binori (RA) and a graduate of Darul-uloom Binnori Town and then did his Phd from Punjab university

He is related to someone I know so I met him at their house in US 15+ years ago, simple guy in his outlook and humble.

Generally Ulama of Deoband had good opinion of him (barring 1-2 disagreements)

Mashallah great stuff bro. Let me know if you manage to locate his book on the sanuis somewhere online. His thesis on shah waliullah is very good. May ALLAH SWT reward him greatly.

What an excellent find Hazrat, alas the readibility is poor. I wonder if it has been published in book form? If not, someone should really look into it.
