I am regularly told about amazing things kids come out with that makes one think how pure and simple yet advanced their minds and innocent thinking can be. How they put 1 and 1 together and somehow get 3. I've always wanted to have them written somewhere. I guess the light side is as good a place as any other so I'm starting this thread.

I'll post a few I remember including the recent one and hopefully members can add to this. I already know abu mohammed will have a library of these in his head.

----------------
Kid: Tall people don't live long
Father: Why is that?
Kid: Because old people are short

----------------
Child: Mum I can't find the sellotape. Ring it please.

----------------
Student writes a note at the end of an exam paper, "I wasn't trying to be funny with the answers but at least you can't say the answer was wrong." - He wrote "Allahu A'lam" (Allah knows best) on every answer he didn't know. I decided to give him extra marks

A kid from very poor family in my neighbourhood was wandering in lonely street late night. He was asked "Don't you feel afraid?", he replied "Why should I when Allah is with me."
At some other time he was asked, "What do you want to become, when you get older?", he replied "I want to be a molvi."

Once my cousin came running and crying, "the parrot has escaped!"
I ran out to see, it was sitting in the jasmine plant, I caught it and put it back in the cage. Then we asked him how did parrot escaped when the door wasn't open? He replied innocently that "I don't know how it escaped, I didn't do anything except opening the door, it came out by itself.":)

Reminds me of a certain classic that most grown ups are guilty off,

Stranger : Phone rings/Somebody at the door

Kid : Hi, Yes ?

Stranger : Is your dad/uncle there ?

Kid : let me check ....wait

Kid on return : Dad/Uncle is saying tell them I'm not at home ...

:D

Ever felt like your talking to yourself?

My daughter uses an amazing method to get undivided attention, no matter what

Even the laws of science can't explain this sudden reaction.

When I'm engrossed in my work and can't give a response at all or if everything just flies over my head, my daughter has found the one thing to satisfy her that "Yes my dad is sane and listening"

She will say:
(saw)
(saw)
(saw)

And always gets a response and then carries on with what she wanted to ask. SubhanAllah. Allah has given these little angels such pure minds and hearts. Alhumdulillah.

My cousin once showed me a lion's photo in her word book. The conversation was almost like this:

Kid: where are his shoes?

Me: lion is an animal. Animals don't wear shoes.

Kid: no. Others wear it.

Me: have you seen anywhere?

She nodded and pointed at the cow's hooves.

Today my little daughter (8) asked out of the blue while she was eating.

Daughter: What's the belly button for?
Me: Allah knows why we need it, otherwise it wouldn't be there.

Long pause

Daughter: (excited as she believes she just found the answer) I know, I know, I know. I think It's because when we are in the mums belly, Allah feeds us through that wire* thing. And after we're born, we don't need it.

Me: Wow, did you learn that in school or Madresa?

Daughter: No I was just thinking about it because.....

SubhanAllah, the way the mind of the young works. I wouldn't have been able to give a better answer, except that I wouldn't have called it a wire :)

* umbilical cord

Me: well done, now finish your food and no more questions :(

Had a discussion about the belly button with my son yesterday, he asked if Adam and Hawa A.S. had a belly button because they were created and were not born.

hmmm....Well it got us thinking and we concluded since they were created in human form, they must've been created with a belly button.

Simplest answer we could give, without complicating matters further. otherwise no idea.

My 8 year old: Daddy what’s good jealousy?

Me: Like when I won’t let a man talk to or look at your mum.

My 3 year old: I have good jealousy!

Me: Masha’Allah!

Her: Yeah I won’t let any man talk to my daddy!

Me: *facepalm*
