Basically our (Deobandi Ulamah) allow deceased (formerly cadeveric) organ donation conditionally but frown upon all live donations (e.g. you being on the organ register etc).

Arab Ulamah pretty much allow both.

From what I remember, from my understanding of the article I concluded that once a part of a living persons organ/blood is removed than it automatically becomes a dead part of the body, which is then used for transplant.

Discouraged to donate blood in order for it to be allowed to be stored, on the other hand live transfusion in emergency was allowed.

Removal of organs from a dead persons body is already dead.

I had to draw by own conclusions from it, as it was neither consenting options or ruling them out.

It is a very intresting thread.About bequest of organs after death; You will be saving one life with that organ rather than letting it root in earth. Maybe im wrong thinking like this but whats wrong with giving your organ to someone after death? Could one member shed some light??

Its mentioned in the hadith, that the dead body is able to feel the pain and discomfort just like the living. Thats why we are asked to wash the body gently before burying. So imagine what will be the horror of cutting up ones body and taking out organs.

TBH I still don't really get it.... I mean Allah gave us all a life + organs and just like our life, each of our organs have a lifespan too. When the time of its lifespan is finish, that's it.

Of course everyone tries their best but if all medical procedures etc. fail, it must be accepted as Allah's will and Allah will reward one. We shouldn't go and use up other (dead) peoples organs in order increase our life span. That's just my thoughts though and obviously if the ulama sanction/approve of the transplant, its fine........ so long as its NOT ANY OF MY ORGANS.
