@Sister Acacia.

Yes we can open spoilers and see what's inside without signing in. The only thing we can't see are the uploaded images which get attached via the post. Images posted using links can be seen as normal.

Jazakallah for the reminder.

This is the case for many posts and topics that just go flying out of the window and is bad for the Deen.

This thread, being in the light side was intended to cool things down a little and take people's attention away from all the bickering.

It has worked in the past, an example is the thread "Fools and foolish stories" that thread was started to cool down the whole forum as we were in a time where debates were causing much tension, and Alhumdulillah, it worked.

Khair, you are my senior, so once again, Jazakallahu Khair for the lesson and may Allah سبحانه وتعالى reward you for you intentions.

@ Guest: Thank you for taking the time to answer.

Good reminder brother DT masha'allah (obviously, I couldn't listen to the linked speech b/c it is in a language I don't understand... however, I think we all understand the thread title). Reminders are crucial for us too... sometimes they are bothersome and inconvenient, but true and we know it deep down.

Nevertheless, insha'Allah we aren't judging each other based on time spent here or elsewhere since we do not know what is in the hearts and daily lives of people. Your reality could be very different from mine (general statement, not directed at you brother DT). Besides, spending a few minutes on these threads as opposed to 'futile' arguments or even backbiting and making assumptions about others is a much better use of the same time... in the end, children also benefit insha'Allah.

May Allah Ta'aala grant us forgiveness, grant us understanding, grant us kindheartedness and compassion, grant us humility, accept our efforts to help each other, correct and strengthen us, turn our hearts to Him, draw us nearer to Him, and keep our hearts turned to Him. Ameen.

May Allah Ta'aala accept. Ameen.

Mufti Abdur Rahman Mangera says these words are the easiest to repeat even in a meeting because no one will know you're saying them since there are no letters in them for which the lips meet....try it

There was an excellent post by sister 2ak in the blogs stating that at the time of death, these words come out so easily that the person who is with them won't even know they have been uttered, hence making the reciting of the kalimah so simple.

Isn't Allah SO wise, absolutely beautiful.

Rumors are not good, though they do make suitable tongue twisters wouldn't you agree? Try these...

The rumored, rumored that the rumor starter was none other than the absent now rumored other.

Though reprimanded, the rumorer rumored on, raging, rampant, and wreaking havoc relentlessly.

Salam alaikum,

What's the point of this? Is there any real benefit in saying these tongue twisters? Wouldn't it be better to do zikr or read quran instead?

Maybe I'm missing the point here?

I heard a hadith that in akhiraah a person will regret the time spent in dunia without Allah's zikr.

Maybe someone can post the exact hadith.

JazakAllah and sorry if itnhurt anyone. This forum is run by Ulama e kiraam so I'm sorry.

Waalaikumussalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu guest Naqshbandi:

There is more to a tongue twister than meets the eye - especially for children and those with speech difficulties. The following piece was linked to earlier in this thread but I'll copy/paste a portion of its contents for ease of reference insha'Allah:

~~~
Tongue Twisters a tool for developing Literacy
Tongue twisters are a great way to help children develop their reading and spelling skills. A tongue twister is a sentence or phrase that is difficult to pronounce or enunciate. Some tongue twisters contain alliterative (repeating of a sound) words and some use rhyme, others use a combination of both. Either way, tongue twisters are generally somewhat tricky to pronounce. Saying a tongue twister requires care in pronunciation of the words. The challenge comes in repeating the phrase or sentence at least three times but up to ten is even possible.
Tongue twisters may seem like play rather than learning; but children learn a great deal through play. Many tongue twisters are silly phrases and sound funny when they are said. They surely produce a lot of fun and laughter, making them a great way for them to enhance a child's reading. In addition, "tongue twisters are not only for light-hearted linguistic fun and games. They serve a practical purpose in practising pronunciation. English tongue twisters may be used by foreign students of English to improve their accent... and by speech therapists to help those with speech difficulties."...
Repeating tongue twisters helps preschoolers to hear the sounds that make up the words, which helps them recognize those words better. Learning to read, and spell are interconnected, and much more complex than we know. Repeating tongue twisters can help establish a sound foundation for spelling and reading...
