South Asia is a place of contrasts...remember the situation in South Asia esp. India is similar to Makkans before Madinah happened, Muslims living amongst full on idol worship and bidah.
And yet, all thanks to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala there are more huffaaz, qurra and ulamaah including some really solid efforts of Deen in here than (perhaps) any other place in the Muslim world.
