A Shaykh came from Pakistan and someone invited everyone to their house for food. The group consisted of a lot of Senior British Ulamah, Mashaykh and some low people like me.
When we got to the room where the food was served, the owner of the house had cooked prawns (shrimps) which are Makrooh in the Madhabs and as everyone stood around the food which was served on the floor one of the Ulamah noticed it and mentioned that it is Makrooh in the Madhab and Taqwa requires people to abstain from eating it.
While all the Ulamah were bending down to sit, I just said, “Maulana, when it comes to food I am Salafi”...
The whole room froze in terror (half standing, half sitting) while I sat down and helped himself to prawns.

Told this joke and my wife on our wedding day and she said, "No" so I told her Mama Tomato said, "Catch up" and she was like "What does that mean?"
