Baji,

Meditation has been proven to "lower Blood Pressure" so:

  • I took the study to a (Deobandi) Naqshbandi-Mujaddidi Shaykh and discussed in detail in UK
  • Then I went to Pakistan and spoke directly with Shaykh (Maulana) Abdur-Raheem Naqshbandi-Mujaddidi (HA) who is the son of Peer Ghulam Habib (RA) [the Shaykh of Peer Zulfiqar Saheb (HA)] in his Khanqah. Shaykh (Maulana) Abdur-Raheem Naqshbandi-Mujaddidi (HA) explained to me about the effects of heartbeat and breathing on physical human body and what the Mashaykh have said historically (which science is now confirming).
  1. You do need to consult a Doctor
  2. Consult a Shaykh for Muraqabah
  3. Start with 5 minutes a day or whatever is easier for you
  4. Go up to 20-30 minutes a day!
  5. You don't need to sit on a floor or keep your legs in a particular way...Sit in whatever is comfortable for you (chair, bed, cushions, whatever).

So Insha'Allah I am not pulling this out of my back pocket.

Baji,

Put some money aside everyday (if you can) and have your Mahram donate it to needy people of your choice. Amount is not important but your Ikhlas (sincerity) is.

With regards to sadaqah, believe it or not, people have actually setup direct debits or standing orders so money is taken from the account automatically. It can be set to go out to different locations/charities. Even a small amount is better than nothing.
