Baji,
Meditation has been proven to "lower Blood Pressure" so:
- I took the study to a (Deobandi) Naqshbandi-Mujaddidi Shaykh and discussed in detail in UK
- Then I went to Pakistan and spoke directly with Shaykh (Maulana) Abdur-Raheem Naqshbandi-Mujaddidi (HA) who is the son of Peer Ghulam Habib (RA) [the Shaykh of Peer Zulfiqar Saheb (HA)] in his Khanqah. Shaykh (Maulana) Abdur-Raheem Naqshbandi-Mujaddidi (HA) explained to me about the effects of heartbeat and breathing on physical human body and what the Mashaykh have said historically (which science is now confirming).
- You do need to consult a Doctor
- Consult a Shaykh for Muraqabah
- Start with 5 minutes a day or whatever is easier for you
- Go up to 20-30 minutes a day!
- You don't need to sit on a floor or keep your legs in a particular way...Sit in whatever is comfortable for you (chair, bed, cushions, whatever).
