Salam

As SF is down, I'll ask my questions in here.

I would like to know about the 'rooh' that is an all of us.

Where did it come from ? What exactly is it ?

Is it limited to humans only or do other mahlook have rooh as well ?

What is Alme-Arwah and Barzakh ?

What happens to it after death ? If the rooh goes on to barzakh then what gets punished in the grave as the body becomes a heap of bones ?

Rooh and nafs are these two the same entities or are they different ?

What happens to it after life in the grave ? What about Paradise and Hell, do our bodies return or are we just souls in the next life ?

So our friends in this life are the people we were close with in Barzakh or had a liking to ?

Sorry for the confusion, I know this is a vast subject but I've been doing some research and I can't seem to find much, any links to lectures or recommended books would be great and appreciated.

Apologies for the heap if questions and that they sound muddled up.

I've also managed to get hold of another book called 'The Soul' by Imam Al Jawzi translated by Ismail Abdus Salam, pretty good book and learning loads of new things.

One thing I remember is that he says that the Rooh ll go to Illiyeen or Sijjiyeen (temporary heaven and hell) depending on the deeds. In Illiyeen the rooh will be able to meet the other good souls. The even though the rooh is away from the body, there will be a connection between them. Even though the body is decomposed to the naked eye, the body will also undergo reward or punishment in the grave. This is what I remember, I saw the video long time back.
