Does anyone if in the Quran Allah refers to parents with the word 'Rabb', if so which ayah is this ?
However I personally thought the word 'Rabb' is reserved for Allah only and the meaning is self explanatory.
We have had a few detailed questions in regards to the Quran in the Islamic trivia thread, so hopefully someone should be able to answer this one Insha'Ala
with so many people reading these forums and watching how people pick up on spelling and formatting etc. how comfortable do you think people who might be a little worried about their spelling would be posting on this forum?
Agree 100%.
These very people have transformed a particular user from posting the most difficult posts (to read) to the most beautiful posts to read.
Brother Arfatzafar has produced some beautiful work with the help of the same people you are "picking on" He even dedicated a thread in thanks to them.
It's all down to the end user.
Some people pick themselves up and carry on whilst others believe it's personal and drop themselves down. None of this is necessary at all.
Most people stay after what they see, few people stay and look for issues. Let not any of us be one of those.
Some appreciate the help, others may feel they are too good to be helped. Let not any of us be one of those.
Any response clearly shows the intent to carry on pointing fingers. Why not put it to an end and let's be of those who help each other instead of the one waiting to pounce.
See if we can end this on a positive note.
Sincere Dua's for you my respected sister in Islam, and my brothers too. Request for Dua's from you too.
@Admin, sorry for going off track. Please delete my posts if necessary.
I'm new to the forum and I can clearly see the spelling thing being bit of light banter between the mods and members, seriously you really need to kinda chill out.

No brother, the word Rabb is not exclusively for Allah. It can be used for humans. The word Rabb just means "master" hence, you can be the Rabb of whatever/whoever you own.
The word Rabb is used for the Minister of the wife in Surah Yusuf, according to one interpretation by some scholars.
Also, the pharaoh in Surah Yusuf (the one who had the strange dream) is also referred to as rabb on several occasions. Im sure there are many more instances in the Qur'an where rabb is used for humans, but this is all I got right now.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
