the only people to blame are the parents. it is the parents responsibility to keep their children away from people/children who will be a negative influence. it is the parents responsibility to make sure their children live in a halal environment with no television and music. it is the parents responsibility to set a good example in regards to the deen and akhlaak ( good mannerism). it is the parents responsibility to nurture their kids respect through love and punishment. it is the parents responsibility to keep their kids away from haram environments and influences outside of their home.

if a parent fulfills the rights of his children - which is to do their tarbiyyah in the right way - then the child will grow up in the right way. if a parent does not fulfill the rights of his children then they will grow up in the wrong way and become a burden on their parents. the parents will only have themselves to blame.

alhamdolillah, i dont have a television, no music in the house, deeni environment, make sure the kids dont associate with bad kids - but i have found that the greatest influence on a child are the parents themselves. parents should lead by example.
