The option is on the drop-down option when you click on the username....I'm using the mobile app, so I'm not sure if it's the same on full or deskview option.

A promise is a promise wether we use the word or not. Otherwise it would be written down as a lie in my name.
Since I put the challenge out, I actually found it too, but as I was in am area where the signal is bad, it was very slow.

Brother X from Ummah Welfare Trust left on the 13th of November so hopefully when he comes back I will ask him live about what happened!

Awesome akhii, will be interesting to see what he has to say.

It's a struggle out there though, and they really are in need. In Birmingham in some areas after Jumma the youngsters stop all the cars and demand 5 each for Syria and everyone pays, doing this they've been able to raise a lot of money in aid to be sent to Shaam.

بسم الله الرحمن اللرحيم

If a sister wanted to get some dawah assistance for someone specific, how would she go about doing so? Should she start by calling the local masjid? How much should she explain and to who? Should she ask for a specific title (not name but a respectful title the person might have been given)? Are there different temperaments she can request since she herself can't meet with the people?

If the sister knows in her heart (has a feeling in her heart) of what the person looks like (not physically so much as just overall presence)... if the sister has a sense that this person is someone who is so kindhearted anyone who looks at them or is their presence can't help but melt in respect... no matter how hard, how rough, how uncaring they may seem otherwise. Someone who Allah Ta'aala has blessed with such presence that the true nature of khidmat, respect, care, and attentiveness comes out in anyone who is around them. The sister senses that there is such a person but doesn't know where, where to start looking, and how she would go about getting them to help her mehram.

So, how would a sister go about looking for such assistance for her own mehram?

£10,000 were collected in less then 2 weeks for this trip by mostly Sisters. When Br X comes back he will see us so I will narrate the story, please remind me in Mid-Jan 2014.

Ummah Welfare Trust seems to have a good network of Deobandi Alimahs who work very well with other women and this gives them the edge over other charities.

Right... Like, I have this friend riiiiight. And like, she wants to know if there's like a sage or something like that she can call for help riiiiight. Like, I don't know, maybe someone old who smiles a lot and is a cool dude that like, you know, like he gets it! Riiiiight. So, like do you know what I mean? Like, it would be totally cool man if I could like find the dude. It would be sick if he was totally into cars and stuff too riiiiight. Yeah!

Hope that makes more sense.

Actually, it would be politically incorrect if I was to add the words I actually do hear these days. The repetitive 'like' and 'riiiiight' phased out but... the new stuff just can't be repeated most of the time.

1. Under 25
2. No. I don't know how to quantify this... if I say almost zero, not sure if that would be fair.
3. No. Single.
4. Big city.
5. Not sure what a sucka means... all sorts of people in the city - knows and hangs mainly with the 'other' sorts.
6. various sizes of masaajid, some with schools and fitness facilities.
7. Have no clue about the imams of any of the masaajid :( Don't know if any of them be down wid it... not interested in sports, martial arts, forceful types, nosy types, academic types... low self-esteem, low ambition, low motivation... extremely hard on himself so avoids anything that he thinks he won't be good at... appreciates stories... puts a huge shield up at the slightest sensation of being judged (even if wrong in judgment)...

Not sure if any of these details help though.
