What they're trying to do is a crash course!
You listen to the entire sanad, listen to every Hadith in one go and then you can add your name to this chain since you heard it from the narrator himself.
You'd probably have to take time out and read every Hadith on its own eventually and the claim is real!
But the ijazah is a fake one or rather an incomplete one in my opinion because the Hadith has to be learnt by heart after hearing it, well at least that's what they used to do.
