Throughout the history of Islam we see no two basic education system for Muslim children UNTIL we get to colonial era in India where Darul-uloom Deoband. Before this Dars-e-Nizami was one system which educated and provided both basic Islamic and basic secular education.

I would like for someone to give examples of opposite.

Gravity and Gravitational Pull are two difference forces and wouldn't you be experiencing more gravitational force in space? Not a physicist but just wondering?

No, they are the same.

You would actually be experiencing LESS gravitational force in space, because you are farther away from Earth. The closer you are to a massive body (such as the Earth) the greater the gravitational attraction between them. And vice versa.

You are farther away from Earth but may be closer to "another" body and that's where the gravitational pull will be coming from; isn't it?

Depending on where you are?

Well yes thats true. Being close to the sun you may actually feel a greater gravitational pull then on the surface of the Earth. But here I was specifically talking in the context of an astronaut orbiting the Earth. At geostationary height (400 km) an astronaut feels about 88% of the gravity you and I feel.

Salam

Does anyone know how to make Arabic font appear nicely on website? abuhajira who used to post on sunniforum used to use this nice font. For example if you look at his website at the footnotes on this page: [dot]qafila[dot]org/imam-john-yahya-ederer-and-his-article-on-permissibility-of-music/

And compare that with the footnotes in Arabic from the original source of article: askimam[dot]org/public/question_detail/28271

So the one in qafila[dot]org is a lot more legible/clearer than the one on askimam[dot]org - how do you do this?

Anyone know?

jazakallah

Yes I need some materials on Muslim scholars' contribution in other fields which now fall under the category of "worldly" knowledge eg. architecture, different aspects of engineering, geology, geography, philosophy etc. It would be best if I can get some scholarly articles.

Up or down?

Although MashaAllah educational, it's not like we're ever gonna be going to space, is it. Might help us in exams though. :)

Ok, if we were hung upside down in a room, and we were told to look up, the first place we would look would be UP to the FLOOR, and if we were told to look DOWN, would then look at the ceiling, correct ?

So for me, looking up or down would be according to the position of my head.

:) if only admin liked the other smiley that ended with the letter P.
