Abdul Qadir Jilani رحمة الله عليه moulid is happening for 10 days in one of the masjid in my city.

My local masjid Imam(think he is in Qadriya silsila); he read Yasin after maghrib followed by dua and chocolates. This delayed our Jowla etiquette talk by 15 mins. Yesterday was our 1st jowla/gasht (11 Rabi al-Thani)

Abdul Qadir Jilani رحمة الله عليه was born on 11 Rabi al-Thani...

What about yours?
Why only Abdul Qadir Jilani Mawlid next to Rasool(saw) and skipping Hazrat Abubakr, Hazrat Umar - etc?

I read this in a book of Barelwee Fatwaas from a Pakistani punjabi Mufti...

Q) Is it permissable to make Fatiha on the grave of Maududi?

A) Forget Fatiha, if a flower grows on his grave it is HARAM to smell it!

Fatiha Chotiyay, Agar Us ki Qabar par Phool bhi Khilay to Us Phool Ko Soongna Bhi Haram hay!

I was laughing so hard tears came in my eyes :p

I asked this question to a Barelwee l i.e. why would a flower grow on the grave of Maulana Maududi (RA) if he was such a Bid'aati?

I was told that Hazrat Mufti Saheb has surmised that "Maulana Maududi was full of such FILTH that as his body decomposes a lot of FILTH (Manure) will be released thus resulting in the growing of nice flowers on his grave-site"

So the Barelwee Mufti was also a biologist and agriculturist!

:p

Good one. One similar incident happened in India.

A Barelvi Hazrat issued a Fatwa that Deobandis are Kafirs. Below the fatwa, he wrote "Allahu Alam".
Another Barelvi hazrat declared the former barelvi hazrat who issued the Fatwa as Kafir as he was uncertain(since he used "Allahu Alam") on Deobandis being Kafir.

I too was laughing initially at the berelvi fatwa...
But...

Then I just searched why is Maududi hated so much... Then I came across his filthy statements..

May Allah forgive me for reproducing such blasphemic statements.

Shaykh Ludhianwi said[165]:

You are aware that Prophethood is a very sensitive issue. Any expression which debases a Nabi is inappropriate. Examine the entire treasure of ahadith of Nabi (peace be upon him) and you will not find the minutest doubt regarding any Nabi (peace be upon them), but Maududi's pen, even after reaching the sanctuary of Prophethood, remains unacquainted with respect. Without compunction he mentions:

(a) The example of Musa (peace be upon him) is that of a hasty conqueror who continues marching without reinforcing his authority. Behind him in the captured land a revolt spreads like fire in a jungle.[166]

(b) Hadrat Dawud (peace be upon him) was influenced by the general custom of the Israeli society of his era and requested Urya to divorce his wife.[167]

(c) There was a carnal desire in the act of Hadrat Dawud (peace be upon him) and he misused his authority. It was an act which did not suit any acquiescent person in the government.[168]

(d) Hadrat Nuh (peace be upon him) was overcome by his human deficiency and he became prey to the emotions of ignorance.[169]

(e) The statement of Hadrat Yusuf (peace be upon him), 'Appoint me as a treasurer of the land' according to him was not merely a request for the post of treasury, as some people presume, but it was a demand for dictatorship. As a result of this, the position which Yusuf (peace be upon him) achieved was very much similar to the position Mussolini [170] held.[171]

(f) Hadrat Yunus (peace be upon him) was negligent in the duty of Prophethood. Presumably he left his place before time after loosing his patience.[172]
