Yes.. out of no reason i simply typed in 'salafi' on youtube just to see what i get.. & i come upon this sufi vs salafi talk.. ;-) Humorous person Masha Allah..
[I'm surprised though you heard him for the first time and not before..]
Im kind of a cautious guy bro..:-) .. did hear his name before though.. ( guess from doc umar) so the moment i began listening.. he seemed to interest me.. did a quick search.. & watched the whole 2 parts..
.. else my window to the European / western Mashaikh had always been dearest London786.. that man is a walking directory Masha Allah.. :-)
Yes, he is a good speaker. You should check his talks on family, parenting, marriage etc. He understands these topics well, mashaAllah.
Also his 'Hereafter' series is very good.
Here is a excerpt from his talk on Jinns 'the world of unseen', its about a boy who became hafiz in one day.
Also came upon Shaikh Mufti Muhammed Bin Adam Al Kawthari (haf) .. ajeeb.. i thought him to be an old man of Arab origin.. ( heard about him through colonel sahab).. bookmarked his talk on 'world of Spirituality,Tasawwuf, sufis & shaikhs'.. lets see what he has to say..Insha Allah..
I did come across his Fatawa couple of times and also posted it elsewhere.. but as far as listening to lectures.. well im kind of attached to a select few like Hazrat Maulana Tariq Jameel sahab db.. Arif Billah Hazrat Maulana Hakeem Muhammed Akhtar sahab رحمة الله عليه.. Hazrat Shaikh Zulfiqar sahab Naqshbandi (db) and Hazrat Shaikh Mazhar Ali Khan sahab Naqshbandi رحمة الله عليه..
since past few months its been only Arif Billah Hazrat Maulana Hakeem Muhammed Akhtar sahab رحمة الله عليه.. a great regret that i could not meet him..
Else iam not much into listening lectures.. prefer books..
إن شاء الله I shall visit the UK oneday and meet all these ulema and Mashaikh.. including some brothers here on the forum..
He is an Alim from south Africa very much attached to tabligh and his lectures are in english which are very effective, I would tell he is English version of Tariq Jameel sab.
" Maulana Ahmed Suleman Khatani was born in Durban, South Africa. He completed his Hifz ul Quraan at an early age. He then enrolled into Madrasah Arabia Islamia, Azaadville, South Africa where he completed his Aalim Faadhil course in 1993. Maulana studied under many great scholars like Sheikhul Hadith Hadhrat Maulana Fazlur Rahman Azmi Saheb (DB) and Hadhrat Maulana Abdul Hamid Ishaq Saheb (DB).
Since graduating Maulana has dedicated his life to the service of deen. He has traveled through many countries in the world spreading the deen of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'aalaa) and Our beloved Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wa Sallam), delivering lectures and sermons at various Masaajids, Ijtimaas and gatherings across the globe..." read on..
You must also hear Shaikh Jihani Sahib from Libya; he is also attached to tabligh.
The difference we find in his speech is - he talks with BIGGG YAQEEN on this effort. Since he is an Arab, masha Allah - he bayans in English make a big impact.
In youtube, you can find some of his short bayans.
Anybody here scrutinizing Aam Admi party and Aravind Kejriwal of Delhi?
Even though, He is bit of an anarchist and his party is chaotic and unorganised, He proved that, it is possible for normal people of today to organize a government and actually do something good for the people. Non-Muslims are capable of this.
I was pretty skeptic about him, until I saw his interview
Halalified YT Audio
after 20 days of being in power. His party maybe short lived, but this model is feasible. He has the drive to serve the people , he might have other motives or power may change him. But at present he is looking good.
If Muslims really follow the khulafa ur rashidoon, Good governance will be possible in the Muslim countries involved in the Arab spring. That eagerness to serve the people Fisabeelillah should be there. The crisis AbuBakr رضي الله عنه faced was a big one and we all know how easily Allah Ta'ala solved the crisis for the Muslims. There is always hope.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
