I m starting to notice something.... In india, there is shirk everywhere! When I use public transport, there is either pictures or small idols or cross or picture of Prophet Jesus. If I go to an office, there again idols, on friends car, etc etc etc. Shirk everywhere! And I m amidst it. This is why I prefer a place like pakistan or saudi, even though they are filled with sins and hypocrisy, open shirk is seldom seen.

I think we should think about Allah's Mercy for not unleashing His wrath for such ingratitude. Allah's is Ar-Rahmaan.

There have been plenty of people in Makkah who have been executed for doing black magic (shirk), prostitution etc etc.

There are clairvoyants in so many corners of Karachi (shirk)

There are Dargha's aka tombs where people do also shirk in plenty of Islamic countries.

There are images of pious and so called pious people hanging in the houses and offices of People of all these so called Islamic countries.

There are peers and bawas who make people commit shirk in these so called Islamic countries.

May Allah protect the ummah from shirk, the worst of all evils.

I agree, it happens in Islamic countries, but in a country like India, you come across shirk too often. Because non-muslims here are more religious unlike the west. Most of them take their religion seriously. Thats why dawah is very difficult here, its a Taboo to give dawah here. Even non-religious people get angry if you give dawah here. Even christian missionaries can't do much in India, the britisher's helped them giving them lots of land before they left India. That why there is always a huge christian college in every major city(atleast in south india).

You are from South India? I have some friends from Kerala and Chennai. There are mostly South Indians and Gujratis in my community.

About Taaleem at home - By a Lankan Mufti Sahib

You are ready to discuss about your religion with Christians, Hindus, etc(Non Muslims) and call it INTERFAITH;
But you are not ready to discuss about your OWN religion to your OWN children at home.

Kids these days...

Talking about kids... I think kids are really violent nowadays... i mean 3-6 year old kids... always slapping, punching n kicking... last month, my cousins two 3 year old kids chased me trying to beat me up... well they couldn't handle me... Coz... I ran... lol... seriously I ran...

When I was a kid, if I do something stupid in public, my mom rolls her eyes n I ll freeze and turn into the most well behaved kid in the block, or else I know I ll get scolded when I get back home. But it doesn't seem to work kids today. I wonder why.

This is a real screenshot while I was searching something on Google.

See the Ad. Unfortunately, this will be a reality soon. This is the state of the Ummah.

This forum seems very calm and peaceful, no arguing or fighting like other places. I like the question and answer section. There is so much to read. I think I have made the right choice, as other websites were not appealing at all.

I asked exactly this question to a brother (after being beaten up by 3 years old niece). He replied- "in fact their souls have attained maturity, no matter how young they are!"
