Its a problem that both of these extremist groups have created for the rest of the Muslims but fair enough.

Seriously respected api I didn't mean to accuse anybody falsely.

You see I never doubted or commented on someone's intention so how and when did I slander anybody?

It is just that I pointed out what I consider to be wrong. I dunno why you are offended by my post.

If you think there's nothing wrong in responding opposite gender with smileys, then and that's another thing, if you wanna do so then keep on dear, nobody forces you in then end, nor I want to have any debates with you in order to convince you.

As I believe It's wrong so I assumed all deobundies do... my mistake.

With respects.

In Sura al-Ahzab, Allah says:
O wives of the prophet! You are not like other women, if you are god-
fearing. So do not be soft in speech. Lest in whose heart is disease should be
moved with desire but speak with appropriate speech. [v. 32].

So shouldn't one talk seriously, to the point.

Sister,

I have had this conversation with a SF brother in email. These verses refer to "sounds" and from behind the Purdah (barrier), how do you apply this to public conversation on a public forum which hunderds are witnessing?

On the issue of Female Voice I respectfully, politely and humbly disagree with a large number of Deobandees and the matter is discussed here in detail with Shaykh (Mufti) Abdur-raheem Limbada Saheb (HA).

Aapa Taalibah (I assume) doesn't play cricket so I just told her that what I said is not bad language before she (as a Moderator) gives me some kind of punishment, how is that not to the point?

"To the Point" is a subjective interpretation and taken literally (and wrongly) there is no reason to have a forum and there should be no interaction at all and no doubt that there are people who adhere to this (point of view).

I fully accept and realise that certain decorum is required between members of opposite gender and may Allah (SWT) reward you in both of the world for pointing it out (Ameen) and I will (Insha'Allah) adhere to your advice as best as I can and not use Smiley's etc but to me I am writing normally and not even thinking about a man/woman scenario.

Jazakallahu Khairun Sister in Islam.

Sister, apologies for my interference, I humbly request you to leave this matter because I know about your passion for learning. Our respected Muadh Khan sahib is one of the gems of online Islamic resources. It's a great opportunity for us to get benefited from such personalities. You've expressed your doubt and he has got it- please don't let this tiny matter grow larger. Apologies again.

Okay. Learnt and appreciated.

I am not immune to behaving incorrectly. I appreciate anything from you that will help me become a better slave of Allah.

I apologize you and I ask Allah to forgive me my transgressions, Amen.

[quote]3. Nevertheless, I have disabled PM's for the members from this thread that requested it. Anything that needs to be said to you will be mentioned in public.

Jazakallahu khair for taking the quick action.

I didn't have any issue with what you wrote but with putting ":P" and '':)", cos it doesn't make anyone's comment serious looking.

Now I doubt I might be wrong that I quoted the verse for this issue as I dunno exactly those knowledgeable people who forbid this use this verse to support this viewpoint or not. I'll ask the Ulama. But my logic says as I wont smile at any non-Mahram if in front of me, so I won't feel comfortable writing ":)" to any non-Mahram in such a forum as we are dealing the real persons who really exist in this world and not just computer screens.

[quote] but to me I am writing normally and not even thinking about a man/woman scenario.

I've learnt it's wrong to assume bad intentions from people so I don't have the right to doubt your intention, brother.

I feel It'd be good to close the subject instead of dragging this further. In sha Allah.

Api, should I hope the issue was clarified? or are you still angry with me? I sincerely apologize as I unintentionally offended you. In no way I mean any disrespect to you or to any other member. I'm new to the forum and I don't wanna let the satan come between the two of us, and don't want let any ill feelings to grow up due to some disagreements, you're my dear sister in Islam and I keep my dear to heart.

I believe it is gets 'unlocked' (so to speak) over-time. It is one of those things that requires patience and a bit of dedication on our part as MS members. Insha'Allah, in time you'll have your name in fancy writing too.
