Checked the link and all the related links unfortunately none of the clips are suitable for the forum, جزاك الله خيرا for taking the time to send the link. Don't think it's as affective on audio only format. Nevermind!

Flower Blooms on Adhan:

Adhan is the Muslim call to prayer but people in the Shaki region of Azerbaijan believe that Adhan is healing not ony to humans but also to nature. A local resident Mammad Rahim Eldarov has collected different flowers of different petals, shapes and colours for 15 years. Each of the flowers is special for him and he makes no distinction between them.

In his collection is a special flower called the "Azan Flower" by him and the locals and this flower blossoms when the Azan is called. CNN sent a team to report on this subject verifying the truthfulness of this azan flower phenomenon. This flower blooms at the exact time of each of the 5 prayers (evening, days, or night), as indicated in the report.

An Old rumor/joke

Cricket lovers in 90s might know this rumor which spread like forest fire. Everyone believed it to be true.

Sri Lankan batsman Jayasuriya had spring on his bats. I still laugh on this rumor.

A jamat from Brunei came to our city a few years back. In the weekly ijtima fajr bayan in one markaz, the saathi said more or less "wahhabis aren't allowed in our country, we send them back"............shura saathi sitting in bayan didn't look too happy.

On that note, do the saathis here take the advices of foreign jamats's saathis seriously? For example, how to conduct ta'leem halaqa, when to go 4 months, etc? I think it's best to take them with a grain of salt.....they're too jazbati.

Shaykh Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyya (RA), the disciple of Shaykh Ibn Taymiyyah (RA) writes in Badāʾiʿ al-Fawāʾid (Amazing Points of Benefit).

(Shaykh) Ibn Aqeel Al-Hanbali (d 513 AH) said that a questioner asked me as to which one is superior, the Hujrah (house) of Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) or Al-Kab’ah? So I replied, “If it is intended to take Hujrah (house) as a room then Al-Kab’ah is superior but if it is intended as to who is in it then by Allah (SWT) neither the Arsh (throne) and what it holds, nor the Garden of Eden nor what the heavens encompass is superior because with the Hujrah (house) is the (blessed) body whose weight (value) the universe is unlikely to match.

sorry, bhai.....i don't understand your post..

i'll give an example of what i meant.
jamat comes from south africa with one aalim. they do ghusht in a university in the heart of downtown and meet one of my friends, a purana saathi. maulana saheb encourages him for a full hour to do ta'leem in the open, i.e. stand outside in the middle of a plaza full of random people wearing full sunnah and read fazail a'maal outloud. puraana saathi gets hyped up too but first thinks to ask a tasheel saathi in our masjid waar jamaat about it. tashkeel saathi frankly replies, "tell him to leave that stuff in africa. we can't do that here."

sometimes i'm afraid to take foreign jamats on ghusht because they insist on knocking on doors that we usually avoid for good reason.
