I know what it feels like!

When I took my wife and kids to Umrah on the first visit a few years ago, our suitcase was stollen from inside the bus on the very first day before we even performed Umrah. We never got it back.

We had lost all our kids clothes. But Alhumdulillah, Allah gave them so much patience it was amazing.

Play: Haqq doesn't change with time! (Part 1)

4th of January 2031:

Aisha unconsciously pressed the “Optimal” button on her Jilbab for the 4th time and it chirped, “Jilbab is already at optimal fitting!” and Aisha just sighed. I obviously need to try to relax.

And why am I wearing my Jilbab in my room???

She walked over to the replicator and just said tea and it asked, “What kind of tea would you like?” My tea, same tea I drink everyday!" The machine sensed the exasperation in the voice and complied with a cup of tea.

She sat on the sofa with the tea and events of the last 2 months began to play in her mind. She was orphaned at the age of 3 with both parents killed in an accident. All her childhood memories were of Auckland Darul-uloom where she had always lived and the character of Aapa Khadija loomed large in her memories. Aapa was like her mother who had taught her how to write when she first arrived and then taught her the final chapter of Saheeh Bukhari 6 months ago. She had graduated from the Darul-uloom and topped all students in the Western Khilafah, her achievements were acknowledged by the Khalifa in Madina who had sent her a personal “Mubarak” message all the way in New Zealand.

Wow! The Khalifa has the time to send Mubarak to an 18 year old orphan girl like me Aapa, she had asked. May Allah (SWT) preserve him and given him long life.  It’s his job to keep an eye over the Ummah, was Aapa Khadija’ response.

And then a few weeks later, Aapa had called her into the office. Nobody ever called into the office, this must be serious! She walked in and Aapa replicated her favourite tea before settling down and talking. I have received a proposal from a 17 year old Darul-uloom graduate from London and the Governor has been kind enough to verify his character and piety. He also like you topped his zone and currently gone to New York to finish his Mufti course. I have been thinking about your marriage since you have now graduated and Masha’Allah all grown up. His name is Adil and here is his picture...

As usual, Aapa had major issues with her device and her face contorted in exasperation as she clicked furiously on her voice operated device.

Aisha smiled and said under her breath “That’s my Aapa!” and then took the device issued a few commands and looked at the picture.

Isn’t he quiet young? In fact he is younger than me? These were his initial questions.

He is about a year younger so what? Wasn’t our Nabi (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) younger then our mother Khadija (RA)? Besides he has specially asked for you without knowing anything else about you but the reports of the Darul-ulooms on your graduation.

What? Aisha’s heart skipped a beat...Why would someone want to marry me? I am an orphan! I have nothing to offer anyone.

You are regular and steadfast on your Deen and you have topped the Western Khilafah and your teachers testify to your zeal for the noble Sunnah, Aapa said. Aisha was sure that she hadn’t said anything loudly, was Aapa able to read her thoughts? Would her real mother been able to do that? Tears came rolling down her eyes.

No Aisha don’t cry, I will say no to him! Don’t cry baby...You are like a daughter to me, I only wanted the best for you. This young man is a good boy so I just thought... I am really Sorry.

It’s not about him or you, I was just thinking about my mother, Aisha said softly while sobbing.

O my little Aisha (Aapa always said that...) while she hugged him. Make Istikhara, beti, make Istikahara!

The Istikhara was overwhelmingly positive. Aisha wasn’t sure if she had ever seen Aapa Khadija happier. She was literally jumping for joy. There was only problem, he was only coming for a few hours so they would have to marry and then fly out straight away to London.

To be continued...

The only thing is that the Aapa character reminds me so much of Khala UmmiTalib and I initially had UmmiTalib in it but when she sees it she will go Ape so I changed the name! This chracater came in my head on the flight...

Is this suitable story for a blog?

Masha'Allah brother, this is fantastic work! Yes, it most certainly is suitable for a blog (and a book).

You've referred to Aisha as him 3x in the story, other than that, on quick read nothing really jumps out.

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

A question to any of the aurhorizors,

How do you post 'halalified' YouTube vids here? I'm pretty sure there's some rules on posting vids...

Videos with people (eyes) is simply not permitted. If the video is beneficial, please convert audio format and repost.

Use the YouTube codes above the reply box simply add the url between the codes.

For normal videos, sound and video.

For videos that will hide the image but play sound only. Must not have music
[youtubeaudio]YouTube url goes here[/youtubeaudio]

For videos that only play the video without the sound. Must not have eyes.

JazakAllah. I like muftisays setup for YouTube vids. Avoids a lot of fitnah. I was asking because I wanted to post a YouTube vid of a Bayan I'm translating. The Bayan doesn't have any humans in it but still, I wanted to do it the 'halalified' way anyway.

I'm probably going to mess up trying to upload it. I'll give it a try soon إن شاء الله.

Ok, here goes...

Halalified YT Audio

Haha, it worked...masha'Allah.

Ok, just a request for Khalah Acacia. Before reading/listening to this Bayan, please free yourself of other needs so that full attention can be given and maximum benefit can be taken.

It's only a sincere request, Allah alone gives Tawfiq.
