Remember the Ottoman style mosque in South Africa? The man who built it met with Nelson Mandela for feedback and suggestions. Nelson Mandela suggested it include a clinic for the general public to use (at least the owner says this was Nelson Mandela's suggestion).

People going mad a few days ago about Paul Walkers death too, loads of Muslims writing ' RIP Paul Walker' etc.

It's a pity that no one remembers those that are slaughtered daily via drones in Afghanistan and those that die daily in Syria and other places in the world. I don't see no status about them on facebook, and if someone puts it up then no one gives it a second look. However news feeds are full with Muslims writing RIP for others, what a shame when you can remember others but not your own.

Paul Walker and Nelson Mandella had everything in worldly terms but in a way they had nothing as they died without the Kalima.

Unlike many countries....issues in sth.Africa have never been around Islam....due to deep rooted racism, hatred, violence, segregation and poverty which led to more serious crimes and issues....there was no room for any further issues for a country that was failling it's own people.

Just my take on it....but I could be wrong.

However I am very passionate about Africa, always have and always will be, may Allah save people from all types of oppression accross the world. Aameen

Few days ago a jamat fro uk was delivering their karguzari and the Mastoorat were giving account of their efforts one out of the four gave an account in which there was 50% tanqees of Madaris alimaat and ilm referring again and again how the alimaat who were not in Tabligh had no deen in their lives I love Tabligh and it's efforts but it makes my heart bleed when I hear the Bayans of a particular group which is quite popular in Lahore they openly derogate Madaris and ulema this is more common in Mastoorat and then we hear from them things like it's sunnah to sit on a dining table this only happens when ilm is ridiculed like that and most of the tablighis are unfortunately doing this I love this work and I pray that May Allah save this effort from such opinions I am posting it out of sheer frustration after hearing the bayan there were few other women who shared the same disgust the mods can shift this post to other appropriate thread if I have posted it in the wrong section I am so upset because of the continuous comments like this in our mohala talim

Please elaborate!

If you mean by donating, then donations are only given to well deserved posts (not just a user for who they are)

MashaAllah, I've donated plenty.

ALL reps will change once I've sorted the really "bad coding" which caused a few issues. Basically, the milestone reps (every 100 etc) has been removed and will be reversed with a huge apology to all the members.

So for now, it's just a number before it becomes accurate when I get around to sorting it all. Then we legally apply to make muftisays reps into a currency.

Does this mean I'm on my way to becoming an 'un-wise' member? And will the pearls lose their shine? With -(negative) reps to boot? No worries, alhamdulillah.
