but what if a man were to wear a watch with the same vanity as a bracelet? is it then still a watch or a pretty bracelet which just happens to have a clock face on it? at which point does a bracelet ceases to be a bracelet and becomes a watch?
are digital watches just as accurate as expensive analogue watches?
btw i know NOTHING about watches. i think the best watch i have ever had was the one with a calculator on it. and my dream watch was the one that can control tv sets lol.
Digital/Analogue doesn't matter. What matters is the movement e.g. Automatic (this works with the movement of your hand), Quartz (battery operated). Automatics (best of them) are very expensive but still can't match a cheap £50 Quartz but that's not the point.
A watch seems so prehistoric now....bought a watch recently mainly because i liked the strap but I never got any use out of it because I've adapted to using the phone to check the time....soon after received a watch as a gift, just become a bit of a pointless accessory in my case.
Sis, we get to wear bracelets and jewlery but we're opting not to while our brothers are busy wearing brace--sorry, watches and getting manicures. What is this world coming to?! :^-)
Nah sis I never mentioned him being muslim, although most likely he was...yes he was having threading done though, that doesn't relate to any of the brothers on ms, just mentioned it in relation to how worse things have got
watches is something that has always been in use....I'm not knocking them because I was heavily dependant on a watch and had loads it's only past few years since using the phone that I've lost the the need for one.
...and it is permissible for men to wear watches, so I'm not going to knock anything that is allowed.
@abu Mohammed....funnily enough in the house I have clocks...so I'm able to leave on time....and if I'm out and about I've been approached for change for maybe the parking meters, but nope never for the time....and if I was asked yes I would put my hand in my bag check the time on the phone...but to protect my phone from being jacked....I would use my big bag by whacking anyone who attempted to take my phone.
I've lost so many watches in the past...mainly through doing wudhu whilst travelling, etc...I find it quite convenient now not having to remove a watch whilst performing wudhu. I do miss wearing one though, think that's what made me buy one again.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
