A humorous ....very tongue in cheek take on the Barelwis and Ahle Hadith:
After an end of a (as usual) very good speech, Mufti Shuaibullah Khan Saheb commented:
"Kya bhai, Ahle Hadith, hadith nahi maante,
aur Barelwi log sunnat se saabit nahi karte!"
Translation:
"What brother, the people of Hadith don't believe in the Hadith...and the Barelwis don't prove their practices from the Sunnah!"
Meaning, the Barelwis claim they follow the Prophet (pbuh) and yet can't prove their version of Deen from His (pbuh) practices.
