'LSIMHBIWFEFMTALOL'

Laughing Silently In My Head Because It Wasn't Funny Enough For Me To Actually Laugh Out Loud.

Person C: AKAS (AdhhaKa-Allahu-Sinnak) - Du'aa for seeing a person happy/joyous/laughing

To laugh is not good for us as it makes us forget our Creator and blackens the heart, same as to remain in sadness or misery, both are extreme. We have to keep our emotions in check and in moderation as not exceed the limits.

I like AKAS, but also know most of us now use Lol, as a means of just stating humour.

The worst ones are the ones used in my local Masjid.

At the news of a death, they use INLW or INWL. Amazing. To be honest I cant stand it.

LOL has always been Lots of Love Allah knows when it became Laugh Out Loud.

My uncle saw a bereavement card at a funeral (non Muslim work mates Mum) it said "We Will Miss You, LOL" Some actually saw it & cracked up.

Anyway at this rate we will be changing many abv. eg. OMG=YA, TGIF=TAIJ.

I'm also very pleased that this site does not support smileys, because if they did, I would have found a Fatwa against it.

soz wont do it, im ean if i ws on messenger(hotmail) n i was talkin to my muslim friends and i wud like 2 say lol i wudnt say LSIMBIW... BCUZ ITS 2 LONG N I CANT REMEMBA IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When texting came in I always thought LOL meant, lots of love, until I time came when the messages just didn't make sense, then It just got worse because everything became shorthand, and it was like a guessing game had to figure out the missing letters and form words, even then messages never made sense, it bacame easier to just speak to people,. Then there were letters like ROFL, which still don't make sense, and I'm glad I dont see anymore.

Nope, that wasn't it.
