Yep, Android for me too. There was just no productivity in Apple "smart" phone for me. Not from the lack of trying. I had it for 1.5 years. Realised there's a huge difference between a "smartphone" and a phone that looks and feels smart
How many academics use iPhones as opposed to android? Use and prefer iPhone over android.
How many techies use androids as opposed to iPhones? Use and prefer android over iPhone.
You could never really know here because the polls are rigged (plus a bigger percentage comes from guest voters) and they discriminate against iPhone users.
It's like having a Mercedes with a chauffeur, but with android, it's like have a Lamborghini with the chauffeur in the boot/trunk.
Actually, correction: having an iPhone is like having a Mercedes with a chauffeur, but with android, it's like having 2 Mercedes with a chauffeur. But with the HTC One, it's like having a Lamborghini with the chauffeur following you in the Mercedes in case the police pull you over for speeding and then taking the car away :-( ;-)
Fast cars crash and burn. Sometimes into trees. Sometimes those trees happen to have carrier pigeons roosting on them. Fast cars do more damage than good. Meanwhile, the poor chauffeur in the Mercedes probably is there with his iPhone ready to call emergency services.
Talking of Galaxies, let me just remind you of what can happen.
The question really is, has he picked the phone up in his hand tried it? If he has, then he's only going for the gimmicky functionality which he will dump in no time.
I like to use voice dictation that converts words into text. Anyone knows if HTC one has an app for that and how good is the quality? Like being able to recognize and copy spoken Arabic words and transliterate them into English.
Also, can HTC audibly speak highlighted words/paragraphs?
It's called 'speak to text' we just had a discussion about it recently, actually had this feature on the phone but didnt try it until someone mentioned it here on ms, and it was pretty impressive.
It's not an app it's a built in feature on the phone.
I haven't used it long enough to know how to do paragraphs on it, and I do have an Arabic keyboard and it still gives me the option of using the Mic for 'speak to text'.
My advise would be to either google it or go in-store to test this feature out.
No, not really. But I like to use apps and software that help with translating, speaking and converting the languages Arabic and English into text and so on...
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
