I recently received a phone call from an ex iPhone user. This person was the CEO of a London based weekly news paper (Indian paper in English)

She said she couldn't fit the SIM into her new Samsung galaxy S4. So I told her that there were two slots, one for the SIM and the other for the microSD card.

She didn't get it and tried again and again. Then she said (while on the phone) "Oh, hold on, let me switch the light on" very wise of her.

I can't imagine what else these rich iPhone users need help in.

Back to the drawing board!

No wonder the paper is no longer being printed.

Not exactly true, I must admit because I've used 3 of the 4 phones and the rumors of the HTC one are not real. But hey, New is news.

Top 4 Worst Smartphone Complaints: iPhone 5S Touch ID Security, Galaxy S4 Overheating, HTC One Camera Quality, Moto X Low Storage

By Ryan Inoyori | November 28, 2013 4:39 PM EST

Apple, HTC, Motorola and Samsung boasted their flagship smartphones as the best in the world, but they have left problematic impressions from battery issues to overheating crisis that contributed to more than 13,000 reports at Fixya.com.

Apple's iPhone 5S

The iPhone 5S has been reported with two major problems - battery life and Touch ID fingerprint scanner. The iPhone 5S is a high-powered mobile device and battery issues can come up anytime but complaints on the security and general privacy of the Touch ID system is unique. It seems like Apple needs to do some work on how the system works and how safe the feature is.

HTC One

The HTC One is widely known with its acclaimed Beats audio technology and dual speakers, but owners reported problems in battery life problems, camera quality and audio. This was despite more time spent on screen display quality and industrial design, notes Fixya.

Motorola X Phone

Generally, the Moto X gained positive reviews due to its hands-free functionalities, intuitive systems and long lasting battery life but those things didn't make it perfect - no microSD card support. Owners have complained on how to expand the lack of storage for tons of files, videos or music. Fixya commented that cloud storage is the only way to expand the limitation but may become troublesome if a user is off the grid, roaming or needs larger storage space.

Samsung Galaxy S4

The upgrade of the Galaxy S3 to the Galaxy S4 includes powerful processor, better screen quality, thin bezel and slimmer design. But overheating is the most common report against Samsung's current flagship smartphone. Due to its high-power design, the Galaxy S4 can heat up to the point of uncomfortable usage.

The following are the major trends according to Fixya's report:

1. Samsung Galaxy S4 users may experience overheating and battery issues due to powerful processing power, as is the case with other smartphones.

2. The Moto X's lack of storage expansion slot and low internal storage space earned complaints as the only solution is to get cloud storage option.

3. The iPhone 5S features powerful processing and unique Touch ID fingerprint scanner, but it suffers from battery issues and,as shown by the recent NSA scandal, the fingerprint password feature is also an obvious concern.

4. The HTC One claims the new "ultrapixel" camera technology received complaints and it is not surprisingly with the obvious focus on screen display and impeccable design.

Dual-SIM HTC One with expandable storage comes to the UK

Just days after it unveiled a second gold One, HTC is releasing another variant of its Android flagship in an attempt to boost sales in the UK. Today, the company announced the availability of the HTC One Dual SIM, which you may already know as HTC One 802w. Just like it's Chinese counterpart, the device comes with a removable back for access to dual SIM slots and, more importantly, a microSD slot. That means you can switch between SIMs to receive calls and also fall back on up to 64GB of external storage, should you max-out the One's 32GB of internal storage. The dual-SIM functionality does come at a price, however, as the latest One variant does not support LTE -- otherwise the specs remain unchanged. If you can overlook that, the One Dual SIM is up for pre-order on HTC's official store for £495 ($809), with it likely to head to a "number of networks and retailers" in the near future.

For those of us who find battery life very important, the HTC One Max scores an endurance rating of 81hours (HTC One 48hours, Samsung Note 3 75 hours, Iphone 5S 54hours)

HTC One Max is powered by a massive 3,300mAh battery that in theory should give you enough juice for 24 days of standby or a whole day of 3G talks.

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

I have a proverb I'd like to share:

Poor Android. So close to malfunction, so far away from Apple.

:-) :-) :-)

The further away from Apple the better. Any closer and it will be a flop. Catastrophic!

Jazakallah for sharing your input (poor Apple fan still in the shallow end of the the pool)

I don't mean to indulge or spoil in the competition, so I'll just post my thoughts here, and you'll see why this topic!

Lol, my bad. I was waiting for you to get the intended joke. I got it from listening to one professor talk about Mexico's perception of America. He then said this quote in light humor:

Poor Mexico. So close to America, so far away from heaven.

I'm not a die hard apple fan but the android format is too messy for me. I like more simplified displays and formats...ahem...cleaner formats :-) :-)

Was I supposed to number the new question in the trivia thread? You guys gotta forgive me. I was using my iPhone.

See, I can make constructive self-criticism...:-)

Yes please, the questions and answers in the trivia thread need to be numbered. Questions in red and answers in Blue or green please.

Not to worry, Android users have a great sense of humour and don't find things too difficult to do (InshaAllah).

So I'll edit your post for you before someone really takes a bite out of the Apple!

Great, so your comments are null and void about the malfunctions ;P

Let me edit your post and clarify the malfunction comments and pass and the buck to Apple then.
