Salams
Thanks for the kind words, but 'expert in the field' is a tad too far...I'm simply a user too but like you I keep up with the news on tech developments etc.

I need to have a clear out one day, I have a HTC Sensation XE and some One X accessories just gathering dust in a draw.

I took my phone off charge in the middle of the night, way before Fajr.

I just wanted to see how it would cope through the day.

It's not too bad. Used the phone on WiFi all, although the WiFi went off automatically when I was away for a certain period, didn't pit it on charge and most of the posts on the thread were done by the phone too. Including emails, but no phone calls at today :-)

Tomorrow the difference will be the constant calls coming in, I'll see how I get along.

I know you're not into phone's, but misplacing the TC with CT was bad, but my question because of this error is, "Do you have an iPhone?"

Hey, at least it gets the job done!

A phone is expected to do what every other phone is expected to do.

A smartphone is expected to do what every other smart phone is expected to do too. The iPhone is not so smart, hence this thread and my question to you implying the smartness!

;-)

Some genuine comments I'd like to share from non Muslim

I got the HTC one on saturday as an early birthday present, As I upgraded from the iPhone 4 to 5 and didn't see what I was paying for contract wise, other then a few upgrades here and there you might as well get the 4/4s on a cheaper contract. HTC is on another level, makes iPhones feel like a childs toy, which some people like and there is nothing wrong with that, but it feels like a dumbed down smartphone.

On the new iphone apple need to step up, and allow for more customisation
I Totally agree with you mate! I got my HTC One as an upgrade from iPhone 4 and i m loving it. i used to have an HTC hero before i got the iPhone 4 and i had to go back to HTC no way i was going for iPhone 5. I m loving everything about it especially the Audio and Camera.I took pictures for my sisters Birthday in a club with no Flash and she couldn't believe it was a Phone camera. HTC One all the way!

HTC one all the way, Samsung hardware is cheap and the software is unreliable
I think he means HTC sense5 vs Samsung touchwiz... Sense is lovely to use, I have used touchwiz a lot and it has its perks, But I always find myself drawn back to sense for its beauty and speed.

Don't worry I had a Nokia 1100 for years, used to love that phone and the battery was impeccable. Not sure how to post pics or I would, on phone so will leave it lol

Nokia 1100 probably one of the best phones I have used, I've travelled with it too, and when no one would have reception my phone would.

In 1998, we released the world's first handheld touch device.

In 2010, we coined the world's first 4G Android phone.

And now, in 2013, we've created the world's best smartphone.

That's according to the judges of the prestigious T3 awards, who crowned the HTC One Smart Phone of the Year and Gadget of the Year - as well as awarding it the coveted T3 Design award. And no wonder… it rules.
