Take a look at these below. Remember the LG G3 is coming out by the end of this month. Also there is the much hyped budget OnePlus+ (I haven't seen much on it though)

Lets see if brothre AhmedUK has a better say on the issue.

The LG G3 is the Android phone with the best display ever seen on a smartphone. How does the LG G3 compare to the fastest, most stylish phone on the market: the HTC One M8? It's our LG G3 vs HTC One M8 comparison: LG G3 vs HTC One M8 specs, price, design, build, display, camera and battery life.

LG G3 vs HTC One M8 comparison review: verdict

It's difficult to be entirely prescriptive without fully testing the LG G3, but this much we can say: both the HTC One M8 and the LG G3 are great handsets, and they will cost around the same. They are fast and well built, they run full (recent) versions of Android, and offer great storage expansion. On the one hand the LG G3 definitely has the better display, but we feel that the HTC One M8 is likely to have the better camera, and is arguably better looking. Ultimately your decision will be personal. For me I'd opt for the HTC One M8 simply because it looks and feels so great, and I care more about build than display quality. Your decision may differ!

Those aren't my words :)

Apple once (still going on) chased Samsung for copyright and patent infringement etc etc

What did Apple fans do? They boasted claiming "if you can't beat them, copy them"

Erm! I think Samsung and other companies won and the proof. Well now it's obvious that Apple has listened to their fans.

If you can't beat them, copy them.

IPhone now also in the phablet market.

iT's so iFunny.

WHAT IS ALL THE ULTRAPIXEL FIASCO ABOUT? WHY IS HTC BEING SLAMMED? ARE THESE SLAMMERS RIGHT? DID HTC GO WRONG?

Nah! They were all wrong. HTC Has got something Ultra Unique.

Quote:
The HTC Ultrapixel camera technology found on the One is intriguing, partly because it goes against the grain of current convention and reduces the raw megapixel count rather than increasing it. There is method in this apparent madness, as we will discuss.
Quote:
So while Nokia's Lumia 1020 may be taking on the market with a 41 megapixel sensor, HTC is doing just as well with four.

If the One Mini does boast an Ultrapixel sensor, then this will mean that while the number of pixels on offer may be lower than many of its rivals, each individual pixel will actually be much larger than is found in a typical camera phone. This endows them with the ability to absorb 300 per cent more light, eclipsing the capabilities of comparatively priced devices with 13 megapixel cameras on board. Letting in more light means that images captured are brighter and more vibrant, even in poor lighting conditions. The sensor is combined with an F/2.0 Aperture lens, which is also able to draw in more light, outdoing Apple's iPhone 5 by 44 per cent.

Experts agree that this combination is far more important than the number of megapixels that a manufacturer slaps on marketing material, as well as being closely related to the quality of the shots that can be captured.

HTC is trying to convince consumers that they do not need to chase megapixel-heavy models if they want top notch mobile photography.

And these comments ^^^ are about the Mini handset and comparing it to the iPhone 5 :)
Under the skin is HTC's ImageChip, a powerful processing unit that is dedicated to handling all of your photography needs. It can deliver continuous autofocus that is almost instantaneous, as well as applying noise-reduction and colour compensation, all in the blink of an eye. This means that every time you push the shutter button and snap an impressive photo, you are getting plenty of help from the processor.

Saudi Arabia: Phone bills 'cost 30% of income'

Saudis have been spending a third of their personal income on phone and internet bills, it's been reported.

Figures from the country's Consumer Protection Association show that on average people spend 30% of their earnings on staying connected, the Arab News website reports. But others shell out more than half their income, in some cases up to 70%, just on their telecoms bills. Nearly three-quarters of the Saudi population uses a smartphone, according to a Google study.

The relatively high cost of making phone calls could help explain the figures, according to association head Nasir Al-Tuwaim. Saudi Arabia has some of the most expensive call charges in the world, at around 0.35 Saudi Riyals (about 6p) per minute, he says. People are also reportedly unsure about internet and mobile roaming charges.

Saudi Arabia is known to be an internet-hungry nation, as social media allows more freedom than many Saudis have in everyday life. In 2013 the country's Twitter users generated about 150m tweets per month, a 300% increase on the previous year, the Saudi-based social media consultancy Social Clinic Social Clinic reported in January.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs HTC One M8 smartphone: Buy now or wait?

HTC recently released its smartphone named HTC One M8 that attracted the attention of many users. This smartphone will battle against Samsung Galaxy Note 4 later this year.

Consumers could be confused on whether to buy the HTC One M8 or wait for the phablet to be offered by Samsung. Below is the comparison of HTC One M8 against the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that will help in choosing which smartphone to buy.

Processor- The HTC One M8 packed a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.3 paired with 2GB RAM. The handset also packed a separate Adreno 330 GPU. Meanwhile, Samsung's phablet will be powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon chipset and comes along with 3GB of RAM.

Operating System- HTC's new smartphone runs with 4.4.2 version of Android Kitkat OS, which can be upgraded to 4.4.3 version of Android OS. However, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will most likely pack the next generation of Android OS to be by Google unveiled later this month.

Internal Storage- HTC One M8 is available in 16GB and 32GB variants and will be equipped with microSD slot for additional external storage of up to 128GB. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will surely make a device in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB with microSD slot for extra storage.

Camera- HTC One M8 sports a Dual 4 Ultrapixel camera at the back with dual LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera. There were rumors that claim that Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will pack a 20.7 megapixel back camera.

Battery- HTC's handset is powered by 2,600 mAh, while the Samsung's fourth generation tablet-smartphone hybrid was rumored to pack a battery with more than 3,000 mAh capacity.

The Note 4 is plastic
The M8 is metal

The Note 4 has a 20 megapixel camera
The M8 has 2 4ultrapixel which is equivalent to 26 megapixels.

The Note 4 will not fit into a pocket
The M8 fits in a pocket.

The Note 4 is filled with gimmicks
The M8 is filled with technology.

The Note 4 will have a bigger battery because it needs the power to keep the huge screen going.
The M8 Phablet is around the corner, I'm sure since there already is a bigger plastic version coming soon.

So yes, why wait? Go for quality not quantity, go for the M8

Or wait for the iPhone 6. :) bigger screen, longer battery life, able to compete with phablets, but same rubbish. Can't do anything smart.

Interesting review, was looking forward to the coming of the note 4, not so much now!

Interested in getting a phablet, maybe the HTC max will have to do, the HTC prime is just a rumour at the moment, so nothing definite for the time being.

There's a budget phablet called the HTC Desire 816. My work colleague went for a conference at HTC and he said it was quite impressive.

It's more like a Samsung build with HTC software and HTC sense.

This colleague was going to buy the S5, but finally opted for the M8.

When I spoke to a carphonewarehouse sells representative, he said that Samsung and iPhone's were only popular because the "friend" has one. But he said HTC handsets are bought by those who do research into quality products and require the extra effort into design.

It all comes down to budget, if one has the budget, then it's quality. If you want quality, then its the iPhone or HTC. But when it comes to software, user friendly, smartness, freedom, warranty, then it's HTC all the way.

Major isn't the correct word.

The Note 3 is superb, but many can't stand the software and I don't blame them.

The Note 3 remains one of the best competitor's for iPhone and HTC, but last year's results proved the note to be less superior.

Remember the rolling pin jokes with the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5.

Well its happening all over again. This time they are rolling the the iPhone 5S out, slimmer, longer and wider. But they won't even add a pinch of salt. They'll keep the same rubbish and call it the iOS 8.

Well if you can't beat them, join them!

Just thought I'd share this interesting article I came across

HTC One M8 vs HTC One E8: You're wasting your money on the HTC One M8

That's right, we said it. You're wasting your money on the HTC One M8. It's an incredibly desirable smartphone, but the plastic HTC One E8 is just too good a deal by comparison. We explain why in our HTC One M8 vs HTC One E8 comparison review.

HTC's One M8 is an incredibly desirable smartphone, with a stylish metal-clad design, fast performance and some excellent hardware features, but you'll be wasting your money if you buy this smartphone. We explain why in our HTC One M8 vs HTC One E8 comparison review. Also see: 31 best smartphones 2014.

HTC One M8 vs HTC One E8: UK price and availability

HTC's One M8 has been around since 25 March, yet its price has fallen only 30 from its 549 RRP. Its ability to hold its value is not in itself a bad thing, it's simply that the faster competitors such as the Samsung Galaxy S5 fall in price (now as little as 449 in white), the less appealing a purchase it becomes. If you're going to pay the full cost up front, be sure to check out our Best SIM-only deals and Best HTC One M8 UK deals to help you get the HTC One M8 at the best price.

HTC has not yet unveiled official UK pricing for the HTC One E8, which you might know as the HTC One M8 Ace or Vogue Edition. However, in China it will cost CN2,799, which is a straight conversion to 267. That means it could cost just half the price of the HTC One M8 and, given its very similar specification, that would make it a blinding deal.

In this article we'll look at the ways in which HTC has cut costs with the E8, in order that you can decide whether you'd be wasting your money on the HTC One M8. Also check out our full, in-depth HTC One M8 review.
