Assalamualaikum,

Are romeo & juliet FISHES?!

The maid must have accidently dropped the glass bowl they were in, hence the water & smashed glass.

i don't believe you got it, mashallah umme safiyyah, well done!!!
yes your absolutely right.

The maid was responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. The maid carelessly dropped the BOWL and lied about the accidental death of the two goldfish. Hence the broken glass and wet carpet.

THEY WERE BOTH BELOVED FAMILY PETS!!

Did say it was better than the tree monster riddle.

You would sound like a spammer then.

Nice riddle by the way, at first I thought hmm, it doesn't seem suitable for the site with romeo and juliet but as fishes, i'm sure there's no harm done

This clause excludes the possibility of them being fishes because fishes are prey in the animal kingdom and have many predators, humans stand at the top of the food chain.

Assalamualaikum.w.w.

Being a prey doesn't make the predator an enemy or the prey an enemy, it just makes them food. Afterall, it is said that fishes make Du'aa that they are caught/eaten by a pious Human. Wallahu A'lam.
