Why so expensive? Is it rare? I thought there were hundreds of millions of cases. So not that.

Maybe it's expensive to get samples? Well it's apparently taken from blood or saliva so it's not that.

Maybe it's the isolation and culturing process from the samples?

But it's not isolated. According to the most basic and clear cut definition of isolation, no virus ever has been isolated. They've been cultured then the debris from the damage is filtered and called a virus. That debris has never been tested or proven to cause any damage even even injected into humans so it's not that either.

So why would it be so expensive? And why is it for sale if it's an extinction level disease entitled the most dangerous virus in history?

Or is the heat inactivated one no good? How about a Quantitative genomic RNA instead?
