I have a question to ask you people regarding Hajj. My grandfather passed away couple of months back. He was very close to me and I really loved him. I spent most of my childhood with him and now since he's gone I really want to do something nice for him. So I was wondering if I could perform Hajj for him. I asked my parents and they said 'your grand father already performed Hajj twice in his life" so my question to the Ulemas is.."Can I perform for him again?? and Will it clear out my obligation(to perform Hajj once in a life time) aswell?"

Assalaamu alaikum.

From what I know you should be performing your duty of Hajj first, only then you should be performing for others. Also I m not sure if you can perform hajj for someone who has already fulfilled it in their lifetime. I m not very knowledgeable in this matter, But I have heard ulema say that we should perform our hajj first.

Wallahu alam.
