Salam

A place to motivate and inspire each other in this blessed month with anything that has to do with Ramadan itself etc

The guest of honour is only a few hours away now - May Allah make you and me see it and bless us with many more Ramadan's as well.

If the mods disagree with the thread then please feel free to delete it. I just thought maybe we can avoid the other sections and futile debates for this month.

Encourage each other over what? isint it beter to leave everything useless and put your ilm to practice. everyone knows ramadhan is the month of quran. why not just put that ilm to amal instead of wasting time. there are thousands of threads on ramadhan on this forum and other forums. we can gain encouragement from there. no need for a new thread eveyr new year. what is needed is practice, amal, amaal e salihah not threads and hoo haa.

Make dua. The reason why there are reminders is that Ramadan is one of the few times of the year where literally the whole muslim ummah is glued to deen and shariah. Maybe you might not need the thread...or boost. However there are plenty of people who could possibly be inspired. With regards to people making a big hooha well Alhamdulillah those I know from this forum also do amal us salih. Also people forget. Ramadan comes once a year. We forget many things. So reminders are beneficial. Make dua for me as well.

I don't need to say much, Jazakallah for "your" advice. Beneficial for some Alhumdulillah.

For those who do appreciate it, we have a thread called "Summer Fasts" you may find that of good help.

Insha'Allah, here are some suggestions:

(1) Qur'an khatam
(2) don't know Arabic? Listen to Qur'an tafseer (e.g. Shaykh Kamaluddin Ahmed 's tafseer through Islamic Spirituality)
(3) don't know Arabic? read translation daily insha'Allah
(4) memorize the 99 names of Allah Ta'aala (e.g. Shaykh Hasan Ali has a playlist on Safar Academy's YouTube channel, try memorizing them while learning more about each name insha'Allah)
(5) work on learning a little Arabic daily
(6) read and/or listen to a little bit of seerah daily (e.g. through Ilm Essentials)
(7) read and/or listen to the lives of the sahaba daily
(8) increase in durood (e.g. take a look at lovedurood.com and try to learn something new)
(9) increase in du'aa (e.g. read through a book of du'aas)

With that, alhamdulillah since my post elsewhere was deleted, insha'Allah I take my leave - but not without a du'aa for the anonymous poster insha'Allah:

Alhamdulillah, you made me cry, jazakAllah khayran. I appreciate your reminder and kind words.

You are right. Insha'Allah those I care about and respect will understand that this just is not to my best interest at all, nor does it seem to benefit others - somehow, unwillingly I seem to be causing fitnah or at least I am perceived as such and I want nothing to do with either insha'Allah.

Insha'Allah, I will take my leave for good. JazakAllah khayran. May Allah Ta'aala reward you with the best of both worlds and preserve you in the best of health and imaan, ameen.

Wa'assalaam
