Just because it's Ramadhan (the month of Patience) you should'nt only do worship
on thos month and
never on the rest of the months. You should always pray everysingle
day, but in the month of Ramadhan you do extra worship, e.g recite asma-ul-husna every day, read lots and lots of nafls,
here is one story i read a few days ago
It begins:
There was this lady who wore like a hijab, a scarf, nikab etc.
and she ONLY would read
her daily salaahs only in the month of Ramdhaan, read the quran etc..
But after Ramadhaan she stopped reading her 5 daily salaahs, stopped reciting the Quran, everything
and started doing haram stuff
e.g listening to music, watching tv everything
so that's why you should ALWAYS worship to Allah سبحانه وتعالى not only on Ramadhaan,
everytime.
Sister yesterday i heard in one of the lectures by mufti Huzefa palapuri at www.bayans.org that maulana thanwi (R.A) says a persons year ahead is determined by how his ramzaan goes.
If one wants to keep away from sins so practice it in this month inshallah Allah will not let you go close to it in the coming months during that year.
Similarly if one commits a sin deliberately in this month so theres no escape from that sin in the months ahead.
Now if this lady did every worship possible in the month of ramzaan but if she did not keep away from sins then how can there be an escape (until she repents wholeheartedly).
Maulana sahab even said that if one takes to 5 times prayer, Quran etc etc but has some desire in mind that
"O Allah please remove this problem from my life" and then Allah listens to it so the person stops praying because his intentions were not to pray for the sake of ALLAH but for his distress removed.
May Allah give her hidaya and make her do her deeds only for Allah.
I also heard another story a few days ago
that there was one muskim and one non-muslim.
It begins:
It was in the month of Ramadhaan and them two people were sitting together.
The non-muslim was saying to the muslim
Non-muslim: Oh, I thought it was Ramadan?
Muslim: Yes, it is
Non-Muslim: So then howcome are you not fasting?
Muslim: I can't be bothered (even though she is perfectly fine and fit)
That muslim lady told the non muslim something against islam, what if the non muslim going near islam and the muslim made the non muslim go away?
The muslim lady didn't fast because she couldn't be bothered fasting from subha saadiq till maghrib!
