Ramadan is more than just fasting. It's a chance for Muslims to get closer to Allah(SWT), to think about others, and to become better people. Ramadan teaches us to be patient, to share what we have, and to remember the important things in life.
What is Ramadan? Click to read in detail.
Ramadan is the most revered month for the entire Muslim community around the world. It is also the 9th month of the Islamic (lunar or Hijri) calendar. During Ramadan, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. They do not eat or drink anything during this particular time. However, Ramadan is not just fasting (skipping meals), it is a beautiful way to seek forgiveness, mercy, and numerous blessings from Allah.
During Ramadan, Muslims do many good deeds (or engage in different acts of worship) to get closer to Allah to earn numerous rewards from Him. Offering prayers, reciting the Quran, and giving the charity to the poor are a few acts of worship that Muslims carry out during the holy month of Ramadan. Performing Umrah in Ramadan is also an important good deed/act of worship that many Muslims do to get a lot of blessings and mercy from Allah (S.W.T). According to numerous Islamic narrations, doing Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to performing Hajj with the Prophet (PBUH). Ibn Abbas (R.A) narrated: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "Perform Umrah in the month of Ramadan, (as it is equivalent to Hajj or Hajj with me (in reward)." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)
As we know, the reward of going for Umrah in Ramadan is multiplied as comapred to doing Umrah in other months of the year. However, every Muslim must know about how to do Umrah in a correct way. Everyone should remember that Allah will only accept those acts of worship, which are accomplished in a correct way. So, if anyone wants to get more knowledge about this matter, reading an article "How to perform Umrah?" to visit the website of a UK-based travel agency (Labbaik Hajj Umrah) can be beneficial.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
