AAWW,

Would take some time uploading pics here. Most of the cake pics are on the 'Hackney Muslims' facebook page. Mufti Abdur Rahman's talk, given from the cake hall, is on youtube titled 'The Great Masjid Bake Off: Preventing Domestic Abuse by Mufti Abdur Rahman Ibn Yusuf'.

could you kindly add mentioned links on this thread.....dont you need to have a facebook account to view anything on facebook?

would still appreciate it, if you could try uploading some pictures here, as and when possible would be appreciated.

all pics are on www.facebook.com/groups/hackney.muslims/ to access this group yes you would need (a) FB account and (b) be a member of the group also.

yes masha.Allah women are very gifted and talented!

thats alot of tasting, judge/s mustve been very high on sugar by the end of it.

From the images above i can only see the 1st prize winner from the professional bakers category - thats the 3 tier cake, middle pic, third line from the bottom. I think the other winners are in the pics that aren't there...strange as im sure i saw some last night that i tried to upload?? Will try again later tonight Inshallah

In total �.2.9k was raised (+ gift aid would be �3.5K) ...all gone to help provide for the basic needs of women (and their children) when they move from the refuge to permanent secure accommodation

alhumdulillah brothers also played a large part in the event as most of the funds needed for the event costs were donated by local brothers - may Allah reward everyone who helped in any way (i.e via duas, funds, volunteering etc)

Judging was split: Shaykh Shams and Mufti A.Rahman judged the Amatuers category and the other two categories (professional bakers & youth) were judged by the women judges.
